Sustainability

The world is changing, fast. In today’s global economy, businesses must adapt quickly and integrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies more deeply than ever before.

At Easyfairs, we’re highly aware of this shift. In fact, our innovative approach has already positioned us at the forefront of sustainable exhibition hosting. We’re proud of this progress but understand our move towards sustainability and corporate responsibility is an ongoing journey.

Our engagement

The “Net Zero Carbon Events” pledge

In October 2021, Easyfairs signed the Net Zero Carbon Events pledge. We’re committed to achieving net zero by 2050 and halving greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. This is so far the most global and inclusive action taken to tackle climate change within the event sector.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals

We are proud to be part of the environmentally and socially conscious businesses that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We’re focusing on six of these objectives which complement our core values and help guide each of our decisions and actions.

How we act for the planet

Caring for the planet is one of our core values. It guides what we do, and how we do it. For us, reducing the environmental impact of our own events and venues is only half of our work. We’re also helping our communities in their transition to net zero by embedding sustainability and innovation in the content of our events.

How we act for society

We are committed to making a positive impact on society at two fundamental levels:

  • As a company:
We’re helping our communities to achieve net zero emissions by including sustainability topics in event programmes. Alongside this, we’re working with charitable organisations to support prosperity, solidarity and sustainable development in local communities.

  • As an employer:
We take the well-being of our 820 talents seriously. We’re committed to each individual’s personal and professional development, while also ensuring our workplace celebrates diversity and inclusivity.

Tracking our progress

Tracking our progress

We want to be sure our environmental and social initiatives are working. So, we meticulously track and improve our progress using two dynamic tools: the ESG Scorecard and the KPI Tracker.

“Our business model has always leaned towards sustainability.”

But it was in 2021 that we fully embraced a comprehensive framework. Launching our ‘Act for the Future’ strategy, we set out with a renewed focus to create events that not only lead in the industry but also actively contribute to the wellbeing of our planet and society.
