We are delighted to announce the Nuclear Engineering zone for 2018

Nuclear Engineering

Key partners and associations, Nuclear AMRC, The Nuclear Industry Association and National Skills Academy of Nuclear Manufacturing have supported Advanced Engineering for 2017 and this coupled with feedback from our exhibitors and visitor research we are going to have a dedicated exhibition and conference area for this ever growing sector.

More than 64,000 people are directly employed by the nuclear sector, a figure that is predicted to more than double in the next ten years.

The major nuclear new build programme will lead to substantial industrial and employment benefits – including considerable opportunities for the UK nuclear supply chain and helping UK manufacturing New nuclear build will give the UK economy a major boost, with each new project expected to create up to 25,000 employment opportunities.

Companies from across the supply chain will be improving not only their own capability, but the capability of UK-plc and the Nuclear Engineering zone as a key component of Advanced Engineering 2018 will demonstrate the possibilities and opportunities to an audience of key influencers and buyers on a national level.

The business rates taken from nuclear new build will be kept directly by the local authorities of the region they are in, rather than being sent to central government. This will give a huge boost to the local communities in which they are based.

Add to this that the British nuclear decommissioning industry generates more than £1.7 billion of business per year and over 20% is spent with SMEs, this will increase, presenting enormous opportunity.

Nuclear Engineering will be at the forefront of presenting, educating and informing regarding  these opportunities.
