Flanders Expo: a brand new look for a new vision
In September 2023, Flanders Expo unveiled its new logo and branding. This revamp of the venue’s identity is part of a bigger vision shared with the City of Ghent to develop “The Loop” district as a vibrant and attractive place to do business.
The first phase took place few years ago with investments on the interior design (creation of the FLEX meeting centre, refurbishment of meeting and conference rooms, digital signage, optimisation of energy consumption..)
The focus this time is on the outside and the outdoor environment. It involves:
• A new facade creating a unique play of colours depending on the light or position of the sun
• The construction of the Expo Park at the rear of Flanders Expo. The outdated car park will make room for a renewed area where outdoor expos and outdoor events can take place. This freed up space will also be used to efficiently handle construction and dismantling on the site
• Construction of a covered bicycle parking area
• More than 50 charging stations for electric cars
“Flanders Expo is the oldest and biggest player in the district, with a big impact on our local economy and employment. Together we are taking a step towards a new, sustainable future for this area” – Mathias De Clercq, Mayor of the City of Ghent.
“With these important investments, we want to provide a greater comfort for event organisers in Ghent and also attract new organisers… a good way for Flanders Expo to contribute to the economic life of Ghent and its surroundings” – Kenneth Verheyden, Head of Region Easyfairs Belgium
