Dutch venues reduce logistics emissions
Incredibly, transport and logistics contributes around 24% to global CO₂ emissions. One way to address this is to adapt business practices to reduce the need for logistics and freight deliveries.
The Easyfairs venue teams in the Netherlands have taken up this challenge very seriously by using an integrated model at Gorinchem and Hardenberg whereby stands are stored and assembled on-site, a practice that has consistently reduced freight and logistics emissions over the years.
In addition to reducing the need for deliveries, the use of reusable carpets in the halls also minimises waste.
