Easyfairs obtains Gold label as Best Managed Company
Digitalisation and ESG in focus as company named a BMC for the fourth year
Brussels, 12 May 2022 – Easyfairs has obtained the Gold label in recognition of retaining the Best Managed Companies label for the fourth year running. Each year, the Best Managed Companies programme rigorously evaluates participants against a proven global framework: a clear long-term strategy, extensive capabilities, strong commitment, and excellent financial performance. The independent jury acknowledged the ability of this year’s laureates to achieve success and a stronger market position even in times of crisis.
“It requires resilience and agility to adhere to the high standards demanded by the BMC jury even in the best of times. But over the past two years the pandemic made the challenge all the greater, especially for a company whose core business is live events,” said Eric Everard, Group CEO, Easyfairs.
The Easyfairs submission for 2022 highlighted its digital transformation, a process that has featured in previous years but was significantly accelerated during the pandemic. Easyfairs also set out its vision and action plan for its ESG journey over the coming years.
“Change is to be embraced. It is invaluable when it comes to attracting and retaining talents, and our openness to change has boosted employee engagement and organisational growth,” Anne Lafère, Group COO, commented. “Receiving the Gold Label accolade is a tremendous boost for our excellent community of employees, partners and customers. We have emerged from unimaginably difficult times strong and ready to drive change in the events industry. Congratulations and warm greetings to the companies that secured Best Managed Company status this year as well as our fellow Gold Label Laureates,” Anne Lafère concluded.

About Best Managed Companies
In 2017 Deloitte Private launched Belgium Best Managed Companies in collaboration with Econopolis, joined by KU Leuven in 2019. The programme aims to provide guidance and recognition for Belgian privately owned and managed companies that achieve excellent results.
The globally proven framework is used to assess their leadership qualities and practices in the areas of strategy, capabilities, commitment, and financial performance. Companies wishing to participate in the programme must have a turnover exceeding €10 million. They must have been established for at least five years, with more than 25 full-time employees and a majority stake (> 60%) owned by a Belgian resident, person or entity. The company’s HQ or a major decision centre must be located in Belgium, and they must be fully compliant from a legal, tax and ethical perspective.
The Best Managed Companies label is an international label denoting quality and excellence. The programme was developed in 1993 in Canada and has been rolled out in the meantime over 42 countries worldwide.
