Easyfairs continues to grow in Germany’s industrial sector

Munich/Stuttgart, 09.12.2019: Global exhibition organiser Easyfairs has acquired a 100% stake in Stuttgart-based Untitled Exhibitions GmbH and has strengthened its portfolio of events in the DACH region with All About Automation (AAA), four regional exhibitions focused on industrial automation. The team that currently organises these successful events will continue to be responsible for their expansion and further development with Easyfairs. Following the acquisition of the mechanical engineering exhibitions FMB in February, this is now the second acquisition in Germany this year, underlining the growth and ambitions of the Easyfairs Group in the DACH region.

“Our acquisitions will allow us to utilise the many synergies with regard to content, visitor and exhibitor target groups. With their regional concept, All About Automation events fit perfectly with our existing portfolio because, just like FMB and Automation & Electronics Switzerland, they set a clear focus and serve different regional markets. All About Automation and Easyfairs also share the same event format: all-in stand packages guarantee a professional exhibition presence with minimum effort for our customers,” emphasises Roland Brand, Managing Director of Easyfairs DACH. Easyfairs acquired all of the shares and assets of Stuttgart-based Untitled Exhibitions GmbH on 5th of December 2019.

Trade fairs can continue to develop with a strong partner

Untitled Exhibitions GmbH launched the All About Automation trade fairs in 2014 and the business model, based on strong regional events focused on industrial automation, has proved very successful, closing a gap in the existing industrial trade fair landscape. In 2019, the four All About Automation events in Hamburg, Essen, Leipzig and Friedrichshafen welcomed more than 600 exhibitors. The events are particularly characterised by a high degree of customer satisfaction among exhibitors and visitors with a recommendation rate of over 90%.

Tanja Waglöhner will remain Managing Director of Untitled Exhibitions GmbH under the Easyfairs umbrella. She and the entire organising team at All About Automation, based in Stuttgart, will remain on board and will drive forward the expansion and further development of All About Automation trade fairs within Roland Brand’s area of responsibility. The founders and former managing directors of Untitled Exhibitions GmbH welcome the takeover by Easyfairs, as Tanja Waglöhner confirms: “Together with a strong and innovative partner like Easyfairs, the regional All About Automation trade fairs can be optimally expanded and positioned on the market. For us, it was important to find a partner who knows what’s important when it comes to regional, technology-oriented trade fairs and who understands what we’re doing differently and why. The tools, portfolio and experience of Easyfairs offer the All About Automation trade fairs excellent opportunities to inspire both exhibitors and visitors further.”

Easyfairs pursuing clear, strategic goals

All About Automation addresses the requirements for automation solutions in the context of Industry 4.0. The focus is on systems and components as well as software and engineering for industrial automation and communication. In addition to the big names in automation technology, it is primarily companies located in the respective regions that shape these events.

The acquisition strengthens the Easyfairs industrial technologies portfolio and underlines the Group’s expansion in the DACH region. As recently as February of this year, Easyfairs acquired the two FMB supplier exhibitions for mechanical engineering in Bad Salzuflen and Augsburg. Both of these events also have clear regional positioning.
