  • New Order for Pennsylvania Chemicals Project

    04 January 2017

    Technodyne International, specialist designers of cryogenic liquefied gas storage tanks, has secured a new order from Bechtel in Houston.
    This order, the third from Bechtel in as many years, is for detailed civil engineering design of a 30,000m3 ethylene tank for the Pennsylvania Chemicals project, formerly known as Shell Franklin.
    It confirms the on-going relationship enjoyed between the two companies and reinforces Technodyne’s position as a world class engineering design consultancy in the field.

    Other projects designed by Technodyne include the recently commissioned Ethane storage tank for Ineos at Grangemouth which was built by parent company TGE Gas Engineering.

    Technodyne continues to actively seek new business opportunities both in engineering design and as consulting engineer acting directly for owners and operators.

  • Technodyne International awarded a New Tank Design Order by Vijay Tanks for Ramagundam Ammonia Tanks

    Technodyne International, specialist designers of refrigerated and cryogenic liquefied gas storage tanks, has been awarded a new order from Vijay Tanks and Vessels (P) Ltd in India (VTV).

    Technodyne will design two 10,000m3 Ammonia storage tanks to be constructed by VTV at the Ramagundam Fertiliser Complex, Telangana, India. The scope of work includes detail design of the steel/steel full containment tanks and outline design of roof-top structures and piping.

    Technodyne is very pleased to be working again for VTV and continues to seek new business opportunities both as engineering designer and as consulting engineer.

  • Technodyne International appointed as Tank Designer for Canadian Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal

    Technodyne International, specialist designers of cryogenic liquefied gas storage tanks, has secured a new order from AltaGas Ltd in Canada.

    AltaGas has announced that it received approval from federal regulators and reached a positive Final Investment Decision (“FID”) on its Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal. The terminal will ship 1.2 million tonnes of propane per year and is estimated to cost approximately $450 - $500 million. AltaGas will construct, own and operate the terminal.

    Technodyne will be responsible for designing the steel/concrete full containment tank of 96,000m3 gross capacity including the ground bearing slab, external structures and piping to grade level.

    Technodyne were selected because of the strength of their reference list with over 100 Technodyne design tanks currently in service and also their ability to operate in a flexible and collaborative way with owners and constructors. Technodyne will also provide site support throughout construction and commissioning of the tank.

    Construction is expected to begin in early 2017 in compliance with the approval and the terminal is expected to be in service by the first quarter of 2019.

    World leading cryogenic and refrigerated tank designers Technodyne International, announced today that it has won a trio of orders for work on legacy tanks. With over 20 years in the business, the company has a heritage of expertise in working with tank owners and their agents across the world. Today, with a growing number of legacy tanks requiring inspection, repair and replacement this expertise has made Technodyne one of the most sought after companies for protecting and preserving these industrial assets.

    In the UK Technodyne will inspect and report on the condition of an operational 16,000m3 propane tank and advise the owners on its viability for continuing service. Other orders include the refurbishment and repair of LNG tanks taking in a number of disciplines from mechanical, structural, piping, electrical, instrumentation, controls and process engineering.
