2017 was an important year for Chromin Maastricht BV in which, in addition to celebrating the 40th anniversary, new investments and developments were made.
For example, a new vacuum oven was put into operation. With this installation it is possible to provide our customers with an even higher quality by improving dimensional stability. This new machine will be used for vacuum hardening, LPC (Low Pressure Carburizing) and annealing as a supplement or in combination with the unique (hard) inching process. New diffusion techniques can also be developed with this in the future.
In addition, due to increasing demand, the workforce has increased by 20% due to reinforcements in the Quality, Production and Sales department. With this, Chromin hopes to lay a good foundation for the future so that customers can be supported even better.
More new developments and investments are on the wish list for 2019. For example, there is an expansion of the production capacity through a 9 meter furnace for long components (!!), a further implementation of automation with robotics is set up and investments are being made in a new cleaning and degreasing installation. In addition, our customer service will be expanded further.
In short, a mature company with modern ambitions!

- Hardening of stainless steel, to prevent cold welding and wear
- Aluminising, for applications at high temperatures
- Vanadising, wear resistance due to a ceramic hardness, up to approx. 3000 HV0.025!
In addition, the company is set up as a complete hardening plant and can therefore offer all heat treatments, such as (vacuum) hardening, oil hardening, flame hardening, finishing, nitriding and all annealing treatments.

This technology has an environmentally friendly character and is completely free of Chrome VI! That is why our techniques and heat treatments are also ideally suited for use in the food industry, pharmaceuticals and chemicals and can be supplied with a declaration of conformity!
