General information

1. What is Solids?

Solids Rotterdam is the only trade fair in the Netherlands for the entire bulk sector. This two-day network platform will take place this year on October 4 and 5 (2017) for the seventh time in Rotterdam Ahoy.

Specialists in treatment, processing, storage and transport of dry bulk goods present their innovations. Solids Rotterdam is part of the Solids European Series: these leading trade shows focus on the powder and bulk industry.

2. What is the visitor profile of Solids?

Solids is a trade show focused exclusively on the business market. Visitors include general directors, technical managers, process engineers, R & D managers and project leaders from the following industries: food & feed, chemistry, metal, recycling & waste processing, plastics & rubber and agricultural. About visiting

1. How can I visit the show?

If you want to visit the show, you must register in advance. There are two ways to do that: 

  • Click here to register directly in advance.
  • Click on the 'Register here for a visit' button at the top of the showpage.

After signing up, you will receive a confirmation email which contains the admission ticket.

2. Can I visit the show for free?

Yes, but only on two conditions:

  • You fit the visitor profile (click here to view this profile) or you are invited by an exhibitor.
  • You have registered yourself in advance. Registration at the show itself costs €25,-.

3. Can I visit the show out of interest?

No. Pumps & Valves is a trade show, exclusively intended for the corporate market.

4. I didn't register myself in advance, what to do now?

No problem, you can register yourself at any time. Even on te show day itself, if you register online. Provided when you have a code.

5. Why do I need a code when I want to register myself?

Pumps & Valves is a show with a targeted visitor profile. To ensure the quality of the show, we would like to guarantee this visitor profile. If you fit in the visitor profile, you will automatically receive a code (for example, by email). 

6. A code is requested in the registration system, but I don't have a code?

In order to register for Pumps & Valves, submitting a code is mandatory. For example, this code can be found in an invitation or personal email. Didn't you receive a code? You can request a code in the registration.

7. Can I register more than one person on one single ticket?

No, each admission ticket is valid for one person. Do you want to visit the show with more people? Then everyone should register themselves separately. 

8. I lost my admission ticket, what to do now?

Please send an email to anke.halters@easyfairs.com with your question. We will resend you the confirmation email with your admission ticket.

9. I didn't receive the confirmation email, what to do now?

Please send an email to anke.halters@easyfairs.com. We will send your admission ticket manually.

10. Do I have to bring my ticket with me to the show?

It is required to bring your ticket to the show, otherwise we will not be able to give you access. You can print your ticket or at the show your ticket can be scanned from your smartphone.

Practical information

1. What are the date and opening hours of the show?

Pumps & Valves takes place on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 October 2017 in Rotterdam Ahoy. Both show days are open from 10 am till 5 pm.

2. How do I get to Rotterdam Ahoy?

Rotterdam Ahoy is well accessible by car and public transport. You can view the directions by car and by public transport here. 

3. What are the parking costs at Rotterdam Ahoy?

Rotterdam Ahoy has 2000 parking spaces. You pay €13.00 (daily rate) for a passenger car, this includes VAT. For touring cars the rate is €45,-. Do you want to be sure of a parking space in the adjacent parking lot for a car? That's possible! For €17.50 you book a guaranteed place, this amount includes VAT. Buy your parking ticket here.

4. Which exhibitors do I find on the show?

The exhibitor list can be viewed here. The floor plan can be viewed here. Every visitor receives a exhibitor list and floor plan at the show.

5. Is there a cloakroom available?

Guests can use the wardrobe at Ahoy Plaza during their visit. You can drop your coat and other belongings for €2,- per item.

6. Can I bring children to the show?

The event is not arranged to bring children to the fair. If you want to take a child under the age of 16, they should be accompanied by an adult and have completed an insurance form. You can request this form at the entrance of the show.

8. What is the Smart Badge?

If you visit the show, you will receive a badge. This badge is made with a special chip, therefore it is called a 'Smart Badge'. With your Smart Badge, you can scan exhibitor stands to receive more information. After your visit, you will receive an email which contains all exhibitor and associated information that you have scanned during the show. For more information about the Smart Badge, click here.

9. Can I enter and exit the show at all times?

Yes, you can enter and exit the show at any time (during opening hours) via the main entrance.

10. Can disabled people visit Pumps & Valves?

Of course, everybody is welcome. Rotterdam Ahoy is well accessible for disabled visitors.

11. How do I find my way on the show floor?

You can view the online floor plan before the show here. On the show itself, you will receive the floor plan. There are also several (large) maps spread throughout the show floor.

12. Are there taken any recordings during the show? 

During the show, our photographer and videographer record Pumps & Valves in the best way possible. It is possible that you are captured on these recordings. 

For students, teachers and schools

1. Can we visit the show as a student or teacher?

Of course. Individuals from the education sector must register themselves in a different way. Send an e-mail to anke.halters@easyfairs.com to request an admission ticket.

2. What are the house rules for students?

Students who want to visit our show should be dressed properly, behave well, have a concrete assignment for their visit and be supervised.

3. We want to come with a large group, is that possible?

Large groups are welcome, but we do ask for your cooperation. We try to divide the number of students over the two show days. If you want to come with a large group, you will have to split the number of people in two days. In addition, all students must be accompanied with enough teachers. We expect you to behave decent and to respect our house rules. When you disturb the show in any way, you will be removed from the show floor.
