  • BigMax Gyratory Sifter

The BigMax™ Gyratory Sifter builds on the unparalleled success of the SWECO GyraMax™ line of sifters. The BigMax offers high capacity and high performance in the same machine. Known for their durability, reliability and accuracy of separation, GyraMax sifters are used throughout the world to handle the most demanding screening applications such as activated carbon, fertilizer, frac sand, limestone, petroleum coke, plastic pellets, PVC powder, roofing granules, salt, sugar, and more. Now with the introduction of BigMax, SWECO adds high capacity screening to the list of GyraMax features.

With the potential for 240 square foot (22 sq. meters) of screen area in one machine, the BigMax offers 12 feet (3.7 m) of screen deck length, perfect for long retention time and accurate separations of product.

The BigMax is accommodating enough to allow one to four separations in a single machine, depending on the desired deck configuration. This flexibility is available because of the BigMax’s ability to feed the material at a single point or independently to each deck.

The BigMax allows for quick and easy screen changes with no heavy lifting or tedious clips to engage. The screens can be replaced from either end of the machine without the need to remove the ball trays. And the over- and under-size material from each deck can be sampled individually, eliminating the guesswork about which screen has failed.

  • SWECO Introduces the Fusion Screen

Florence, KY - SWECO, A Business Unit of M-I L.L.C., is pleased to introduce the Fusion™ Screen, a new screen with integral gasket “molded design”. This complex robotic construction creates precise repeatable tensioning and engineered uniform integral strain relief. The integral gasket, which is comprised of the gasket, strain relief, and screen frame are one molded part as is the one-piece center disc with integral strain relief.

The screen’s manufacture boasts no silicone/no adhesive as the mesh is fused into the screen frame and center disc. The repeatability of the robot construction assures precise tensioning, lower tolerances and smaller deviations of the screens. The robot construction also allows for rapid turnaround time so you get your screens faster.

Fusion’s unitary construction integrates the screen gasket directly into the tension ring. This design eliminates the handling and stocking of separate gaskets and provides a precision fit into the separator. This unitary design also reduces cracks and crevices, producing a more “cleanable” screen with less potential for cross contamination. And the one-time use ring is disposable, saving handling and shipping fees to return the rings.

Fusion Screens are available in 48-inch (1200mm) and 60-inch (1500mm) sizes. Also available is Fusion Plus™, a screen whose components are FDA approved for food contact.

SWECO serves the chemical, food, minerals, pharmaceutical, paper and many other industries with a complete line of separation, sizing and milling equipment.

  • SWECO Fusion Screens

Fusion Screens are a revolutionary screen developed from a new technology that "fuses" the screen mesh to the tension ring. Fusion Screens have been designed to eliminate the use of adhesive, epoxy or silicone in screen manufacturing resulting in a unitary construction that minimizes the potential for contamination. Added benefits include precise repeatable tensioning and engineered uniform integral strain relief created from the complex robotic manufacturing process.

The Fusion Screen is comprised of the gasket, strain relief, and screen frame as one molded part. Fusion Screens are available in standard Fusion and Fusion Plus construction. Fusion Plus has FDA approved components for use in sanitary applications and higher temperature limits.
