The Big Plastics Debate

Where: The Main Stage
When: 11th September - 15:00 to 17:00 and 12th September - 14:30 to 16:00

To combat the plastics dilemma, The Big Plastics Debate aims to cut through the noise and confusion around plastics and the key alternatives to empower you with robust knowledge and insights. The Big Plastics debate returned this year to Packaging Innovations London in association with OPRL and Food Service Packaging Association. Compromising of five sessions, split across both days of the show, focusing on the key topics around the drive to reduce plastic waste. Additionally, for the first time the Ecopack Challenge was held in London giving a platform to the latest, eco-friendly packaging solutions.

Waste reduction and protecting the environment are constantly on the minds of consumers as well as on the political agenda, meaning brands, retailers and manufacturers need the most eco-friendly solutions on the market. However, the ‘green’ packaging solution is not always easy to identify that meets consumer, policy and product needs this is why it is vital the industry comes together for a fruitful debate to put plans in place that are realistic and work for all parties.
