Michael is chairman and founder of Sheridan&Co and having started the business 1983, has over 35 years experience in the retail design industry. Working across all areas of the business, Michael has an in-depth knowledge of brand architecture, retail interiors, pop-up’s point of sale and packaging Having studied shopping habits he has a particular interest in the use of technology in retail.
Recently, Michael has led projects to redesign complete retail environments for stand alone and in department stores, concessions, showrooms, travel retail, onboard cruise liners and on ferries. Historically sectors include beauty, fashion, spirits, watches, jewellery and boutique food. More recently these have widened to include the adaption of online offers for real space retail and the creation of a new retail concept for one of the ‘big three’ mobile communications companies. His range of retail expertise covers design and delivery for identity, packaging, interiors, launches, promotions, pop-ups and point of sale.
An experienced media communicator, Michael has appeared on the BBC Politics Show, PBS channel and numerous national newspaper articles. He has extensive knowledge of how omni-channel retailing and pop-up collaborations will develop in the near future.
