Jeremy Lindley



Global Design Director, Diageo

Jeremy is responsible for Design across Diageo’s current brands and new products worldwide.  Diageo is the world's leading premium drinks business with an outstanding collection of beverage alcohol brands across spirits, beer and wine.

These brands include Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal, J&B, Windsor, Buchanan's and Bushmills whiskies, Smirnoff, Ciroc and Ketel One vodkas, Baileys, Captain Morgan, Tanqueray and Guinness.  Jeremy’s role is to transform Diageo’s Design capability and output.  He is passionate about the way Design can connect on an emotional level with consumers and about consistently delivering the highest standards of ideas and execution.  Recent projects have included the redesign of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Tanqueray 10 and the creation of John Walker & Sons Diamond Jubilee, a limited edition of 60 bottles retailing at over £100,000.

Prior to joining Diageo Jeremy was Head of Design for Tesco Stores Ltd.  He was responsible for Design across the portfolio of 19,000 private label products and for leading the Store Formats and Design teams.  His early career was spent working as a Design Consultant and University Lecturer. 

Jeremy graduated with an Honours Degree in Design and has a Master of Arts Degree by research.  He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts and is active in a number of Design Industry bodies.

Sebastain is the Founder of the revolutionary supplements box and double Pentawards winner, Hello Day.

Hello Day is a unique range of healthcare and wellbeing supplements available as a seasonal box, supported by a lifestyle app, and with name, brand identity, and packaging design byFree the Birds. The very first Spring Box is now available in the UK, with plans to expand to France, Spain, and Italy. It contains four food supplements formulated to help balance vitality, reduce fatigue, activate circulation, and aid digestion.

Each seasonal box contains supplements designed specifically to help people prepare for and meet the challenges and changes each season brings for mind, body, and soul. This is what inspired Hello Day’s approach to healthcare – and it’s visual and verbal language.

Anthony Fletcher



CEO, Graze

Anthony Fletcher is the CEO of, the healthier snack brand which designs, manufactures and sells its snacks both online and offline.



The business has grown to in excess of $100m in revenues within 5 years making it one of the fastest growing companies in the UK.


Along the way it has also built the world’s fastest most accurate snack weighing machine, a postal "brain" which calculates how to get its boxes across the US, the capability to launch a new product with 48 hours and a box folding robot which can fold cardboard in 16 different ways. It has offices in London and Manhattan.



Within this time he has been responsible for taking the business to the US achieving a $32m run rate in the first year, led the sale of the business to the private equity group Carlyle in 2012 and launched the brand through traditional FMCG channels becoming the fastest selling healthy snack in retailers such as WHSmiths, Sainsbury’s and Boots.

Regina brings over 15 years of experience working in leading market research and well-known analysis agencies, where she has provided insights and strategic recommendations to leading global FMCG organisations and packaging manufacturers, retailers and governmental bodies within Europe and also globally.


She also holds a Master degree in Sociology from Vilnius University.

Sian Sutherland



Global Food and Drink Analyst, Mintel

Sian is a seriel entrepreneur across many industries from restaurants to film production, from a packaging design agency to an international skincare brand.She has been recognised in many international awards including British Inventor of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Marketeer of the Year. After many years as a plastic sinner, she co-founded A Plastic Planet with Frederikke Magnussen in 2017, after working on the launch of the documentary A Plastic Ocean. Their goal is simple - to ignite and inspire the world to turn off the plastic tap. 

A Plastic Planet create symbolic campaigns that accelerate the pace of change at industry and government levels worldwide; bringing the public with them through extraordinary media coverage.  Their first campaign, launched early 2017, urged supermarkets to give their customers the choice to buy food and drink in a Plastic Free Aisle. Theresa May backed the campaign in her 25c year environment plan. In February 2018 A Plastic Planet opened their first Plastic Free Aisle in Amsterdam with Ekoplaza who have now rolled the growing aisle into each of their 74 stores. In May, APP launched the world's first Plastic Free Consumer Trust Mark; a front of pack symbol to empower consumers to support plastic free packaged brands.  On 5th June 2018 they launched the first One Plastic Free Day, connecting a quarter of a billion people across the world; each saying no to single use plastic for one day.  And they have only just begun.

Sian has two 6'5" sons, lives in London with her husband Christian; happy empty-nesters. A master of the Mykonos minibreak; she loves sailing, margaritas, basketball and boxing

Miles Hawley



Miles Hawley, Chief Design Officer, Precipice Design

A product designer with 30 years’ experience, Miles Hawley has helped some of the world’s biggest brands transform their thinking on design. Miles co-founded top London agency Precipice Design in 2011.

Miles has worked with many international pharma and healthcare companies including Sanofi, Roche, Mundipharma, Nestlé Skin Health, Q-Med and Circassia.

During his seven years at Precipice, Miles has been a pioneering force behind Meaning-Centred Design – a suite of techniques that help some of the world’s biggest companies design products that inspire an authentic sense of meaning in consumers.

Miles graduated with a degree in product design from Kingston University in the late 1980s. After plying his trade at several London agencies, he rose to become Creative Director at pdd, one of the largest product design consultancies in the UK. Miles went on to become Chief Design Officer at Precipice in June 2011.

Miles believes innovative design has the power to make the world a better place, citing Precipice’s work on products designed to manage asthma and diabetes as game-changing interventions in the healthcare field.

Simon Boas Hoffmeyer



Sustainability Director, Carlsberg Group

Simon has a background within strategy, business development, PR and communications and has been developing business-driven sustainability solutions for more than 10 years, within many different areas such as compliance, reporting, communication, data management and branding.

He is currently sustainability director at Carlsberg Group and is among others responsible for the Carlsberg Circular Community, a partnership platform where Carlsberg’s suppliers, customers and other stakeholders co-operate to create resource optimised solutions using the Cradle-to-Cradle® design framework and the roll out of the sustainability programme Together Towards ZERO.

Peter Maddox



Director, WRAP UK.

Peter Maddox is Director of WRAP UK. He has been with WRAP for 10 years, working on developing markets for recycled materials and working closely with Defra on environmental policy.  Before WRAP, he spent nearly 20 years working for BP in the chemicals sector in UK and France in research, manufacturing and strategy roles.  He has a BA and DPhil in chemistry from the University of Oxford. Outside work, Peter enjoys cycling, reading and real ale.

Nick is Lead Partner and Creative Director at brand communications and design agency Free The Birds, responsible for its creative inspiration, concepts, execution and development.  Nick leads Free The Birds in uncovering the ugly truths that hold brands back and overcoming then with smart, beautiful design and communications, powered by its philosophy of Beautiful Thinking. Free The Birds works with many of the world’s biggest beauty, healthcare and lifestyle clients including P&G, Bayer, Coty, Sanofi, Boots and Marks & Spencer, and was previously known for 20 years as DewGibbons + Partners.

Nick has worked in London for over 20 years at some of the top design agencies, since graduating from University of Arts London and never grows tired of the experiences and vibrancy of the city. Michael Sheridan



Chairman and Founder, Sheridan&Co


Michael is chairman and founder of Sheridan&Co and having started the business 1983, has over 35 years experience in the retail design industry.  Working across all areas of the business, Michael has an in-depth knowledge of brand architecture, retail interiors, pop-up’s point of sale and packaging Having studied shopping habits he has a particular interest in the use of technology in retail.


Recently, Michael has led projects to redesign complete retail environments for stand alone and in department stores, concessions, showrooms, travel retail, onboard cruise liners and on ferries. Historically sectors include beauty, fashion, spirits, watches, jewellery and boutique food. More recently these have widened to include the adaption of online offers for real space retail and the creation of a new retail concept for one of the ‘big three’ mobile communications companies. His range of retail expertise covers design and delivery for identity, packaging, interiors, launches, promotions, pop-ups and point of sale.


An experienced media communicator, Michael has appeared on the BBC Politics Show, PBS channel and numerous national newspaper articles. He has extensive knowledge of how omni-channel retailing and pop-up collaborations will develop in the near future.

He is also a Visiting Professor of Practice in the School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at Newcastle University. Prior to joining Veolia, Forbes was the Global Waste Strategy owner for Procter & Gamble, responsible for the management of the waste from 150 sites in over 40 countries

The Rt. Hon John Gummer, Lord Deben, set up and now runs Sancroft, a Corporate Responsibility consultancy working with blue-chip companies around the world on environmental, social and ethical issues. 

Lord Deben is Chairman of the Committee on Climate Change, Valpak Limited, and the Personal Investment Management & Financial Advisers Association. He was the longest serving Secretary of State for the Environment the UK has ever had (1993-97). 

His sixteen years of top-level ministerial experience also include Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries & Food, Minister for London, Employment Minister and Paymaster General in HM Treasury. 

He has consistently championed an identity between environmental concerns and business sense.

Dick Searle has spent the 50+ years of his working life in the Packaging Industry.

For over 30 years, before running The Packaging Federation, he had been CEO of a number of packaging groups including two quoted companies. His career has covered most of the material sectors of the industry and he has experience of both large and small companies

Dick is a passionate believer in the Packaging Industry and the very positive contribution that it has made to society at large – both in terms of its products and its substantial contribution, as a major manufacturing industry, to the UK economy.

In 2011, Dick received the Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award at the Packaging News Awards ceremony. In 2012, he was appointed as one of thirty “Industry Champions” for the Government’s “Make It In Great Britain Campaign”.

He has been Chief Executive of The Packaging Federation since November 2006.

Andy has 38 years experience of working in the environmental field, including spending the last 22 years in the area of waste strategy.

Andy has been Head of Waste Strategy at the Welsh Government for the last 18 years and is responsible for waste strategy policy and delivery.

Last year (2017) he received the Material Recycling World magazine’s ‘Editor’s Choice Award’, and the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management’s ‘Waste and Resources Leader’ of the year award, in recognition of Wales’ success in recycling.
