Zeze Oriaikhi-Sao
Founder, MALÉE

Zeze Oriaikhi-Sao is the founder of Malée, a range of premium fragrance and body care products made with 100% natural active ingredients.

Educated in the UK, Zeze’s passion for travel was ignited at an early age, which is illustrated in her range and her determination to crack the British market after great success in South Africa.

“I was born in Nigeria, raised in the UK and then moved to South Africa in 2009. I was 24 years old, with two degrees and after a stint in telecommunications I had a burning desire to turn my dream into a reality.” Explains Zeze, “it was the middle of the global economic crisis and there was literally nothing to lose and everything to gain. My plan was thoroughly researched and although the South African beauty industry was in its infancy I decided to go for it and Malée was born.” Her leap of faith was rewarded. The world-class range was a hit. Not long after launch, a Malée store opened in Johannesburg, and the range was quickly stocked by any of the country’s upscale hotels and spas.

Six years on Zeze is back in the UK, with a taster selection of the products that are incredibly successful in South Africa, a new British manufacturer and an aspiration to share the beauty and charm of her unique and diverse continent.
