Artexis-easyFairs Benelux, the specialist event’s organiser and venue manager, is launching a brand new catering concept with both fixed and mobile catering points. This innovative concept is way ahead of its time.
Enhancing the customer and visitor experience is a key aspect of Artexis’ mission and vision, ‘Visit the future’. This policy is illustrated by major investments such as the totally revamped FLEX meeting centre in Flanders Expo Ghent, free professional wifi for visitors and exhibitors in all expo halls, green investments such as electric cars and forklift trucks, solar panels and a solar charging station. The investment in a totally new catering concept sees Artexis continuing along the same path.
At the start of this year, Artexis decided to take charge of its own catering policy. The new company behind the catering, Artexis Food & Beverage nv, guarantees top quality at the best prices and is characterised by a strong CSR slant. Key factors include the specific custom-tailored service for every target group and the stylish interior design, which further enhances the experience. The new ‘pick, scan & pay’ system makes this concept unique in the world of trade fairs. The new catering concept was initially launched at Flanders Expo, Ghent, with Antwerp Expo and Namur Expo to follow later this year. Dirk Van Roy, Head of Artexis easyFairs Belgium, comments: “We are putting the visitors’ and exhibitors’ experience at the heart of our new philosophy. A service for every target group, offering local quality products in a sustainable manner. The stylish catering points and state-of-the-art technology make our catering service a unique experience.”
Several formulas have been introduced to cater to the needs of the individual target groups:
For the operation of the catering points Artexis decided to team up with Groep Van Eyck, a Belgian company with many years of experience in the catering business. The guiding principle throughout the company’s history has always been a genuine concern for quality and customer satisfaction in a family work environment. Jan Van Eyck, Head of Groep Van Eyck, comments: “From the onset, I was very excited about Artexis’ ambitious and innovative strategy. Most of all, I’m happy that our Food & Beverage expertise will enable us to contribute to Artexis’ mission to optimise the customer experience. I’d also like to add that this degree of synergy between a principal and an operator is truly exceptional and that’s a wonderful experience for me.”
Artexis aims to serve sustainable food with respect for people, animals and the environment while also keeping things affordable for the customer. Customers serve themselves, scan the dishes they pick and pay electronically. At the end of the meal, they clear the table and sort the waste. A small request in return for an honest and delicious meal. All dishes are prepared with fresh products and produce and are mainly served in sustainable containers.
