  • Neutroplast prepares to launch several new product lines in 2013 - First stop: The new Tall Boston line!

    Whether it’s through contract development or catalogued products, Neutroplast will always rapidly answer to its costumers needs. After some market research and an overflow of a distinct type of product demand from its clients, Neutroplast once again had to extend and adapt its product portfolio in order to attend to the general packaging market evolution.

    The new Tall Boston line is the first of many lines to come in 2013, the demand for this type of product urged “The Pill Bottle Company” to promptly develop it. With this, Neutroplast will extend its line of liquid-purposed plastic bottles.

    These bottles will be manufactured in HDPE in a controlled environment for optimum product results. With this Neutroplast intends to protect its costumers from buying Tall Boston Round bottles manufactured with very low or even no quality standards from cheap suppliers. The goal is to offer a range of bottles in HDPE which can easily substitute PET bottles so that customers can choose between both without having to lose the identity of their product range.

    Neutroplast is determined to launch new plastic package solutions throughout the year, including as stated above, new complete product lines. Standby for new and innovative Plastic Packaging solutions, Neutroplast will never cease to surprise.

  • BeyonDevices' Ergonomic, Patient-Friendly Vaginal Applicator

  • Renewed product Catalogue

    As announced in the beginning of the year Neutroplast is in the process of releasing new product lines. Following the huge success of the HDPE Tall Boston Round Line, Neutroplast’s online catalogue was in need of some improvements in order to host all of these product innovations.

    With the help of WEBpackaging, Neutroplast now offers an advanced product search tool along with the new catalogue's look and functionality. The objective is to enhance online customer experience and to facilitate product access.

    The new search tool enables the customer to quickly find what he or she needs in a matter of seconds, just by typing in a keyword or by choosing a specific product characteristic. Also, the adjustments made to product imagery allow the customer to precisely check physical product details in order to secure full purchase satisfaction.

    These new adjustments are also intended to make it easy for smart phone and tablet users to browse over Neutroplast’s catalogue.   • Neutroplast increases production of pharmaceutical purposed packaging

    Throughout the years Neutroplast has been gaining an extensive know-how in the area of pharmaceutical packaging, and has recently finished extending its clean room production area to 700m2.

    Neutroplast in now has a full pharmaceutical purposed packaging product range for pills/capsules, liquids – droppers and Boston type bottles, precision dosage pump bottles, dosing devices, and derma care bottles.

    All of these product lines can now be produced in brand new closed IS0 8 validated clean rooms, which were built with the purpose of not only extending the clean room area that Neutroplast already had but also to once more guarantee full customer satisfaction, from the moment the sales contact is made until the costumer has Neutroplast’s product in hand.

    BeyonDevices concluded that there was a niche for a hygienic, comfortable and sensitive product in the market. The current products were not user friendly enough, nor provided an adequate comfort and improved compliance to the drug delivery process.

    This patented drug-delivery device has thus been designed with the objective of bringing maximum ease of use, comfort and efficiency for the delivery of vaginal ovules, pills, capsules and creams. It features an ergonomic format together with an innovative release system that allows for the handling of the device with one hand only, maximizing the results both in compliance of the administration as well as in comfort for the user.

    As this is a single use, disposable item, cost efficiency was also a concern, therefore the device is built using injection molded plastic parts, therefore, allowing pharmaceutical or other women’s health companies to use this new technology without hampering commercial results.

  • BeyonDevices integrates the top Portuguese Health Companies Cluster

    BeyonDevices has been accepted as a HCP (Health Cluster Portugal) member. After being founded in April 2012, BeyonDevices - a young Medical Devices company which is growing at a fast pace - is already planning to launch more new products in 2013 following the success of its new state-of-the-art vaginal applicator.

  • Neutroplast - A successful anti-crisis family owned firm boosts up Net-Exports by 30%

    After a period of market stagnation, Neutroplast had to react immediately in order to keep its market share and reputation. The financial crisis was not an easy obstacle to surpass; Portuguese clients were buying less (such clients who at that time represented more than 50% of total sales), banks stopped lending, suppliers imposed more strict payment schemes and many family members still had to get paid.

    Neutroplast’s administration did not have an easy problem to solve; shall we fire? Shall we sell? Or shall we invest on our know-how? By that time no one was sure of what surprises the financial crisis which just struck Portugal was going to bring. Many companies filed for bankruptcy, others sold for half or even a third of the price and others just fired 10%, 20%, 30%... 70% of their workforce. Fortunately Neutroplast’s team stayed tight and worked together to fight against all odds.

    The final decision, surprisingly enough, was to invest. By April 2012, Neutroplast founded its new Spin-off BeyonDevices which has already developed a promising applicator specially designed for women’s health plus an innovative DPI (Dry Powder Inhaler). A couple of months later it hired 3 employees for its Lisbon office. Moreover Neutroplast did such an extensive market prospection which enabled to regain trust and credibility among existing overseas clients as well as extending its client portfolio.

    Presently, Neutroplast raised its Net Exports by 30% and is hiring new production staff in addition to extending its production plant.
