We are looking for a colleague that can drive our company in new event creation: a process that ensures new concepts for events or continuous improvement initiatives for existing events.

What you will do

As Business Development Lead, you will monitor and identify market gaps and potential launches (new events, geo-cloning, satellites.), do the market check, propose market deployment plan and support our teams during first edition. You will also accompany events through their lifecycle, together with management, in terms of event concept, sector coverage analysis and content check and in terms of identification of growth and diversification opportunities.

Furthermore, you will:

Do the acquisition screening, develop positive relationship with potential sellers, oversee the M&A track (from spotting till integration, passing through Due Diligence.

Support Top Management in the Nordics and provide structured advice on company strategic & growth plan.

What we are looking for

Around ten years of experience in the events industry, project management, product management, M&A or similar

Knowledge of MICE industry is a must

Master degree (economics, business management) ideally

Analytical to synthetic mind, autonomous, strategic vision, creativity, communication & presentation skills, commercial & negotiation skills, be able to show initiative and take decisions, resilient and result driven

Competence in Busdevtrack and M&A track, Web search processes, Microsoft suite

Responsibilities will include

Role model in new event Creation

Deliver new launches and events

Identify geo-cloning opportunities on existing brands

Recommend acquisition opportunities

Developing exceptional relationships with key stakeholders

This is a fulltime position located in Gothenburg, Sweden. You will travel domestically and internationally on regularly basis and report into the Head of Nordics.
