Speaker: Kyle Stavig, CEO of Myers Container LLC, General Steel Drum LLC, Container Management Services LLC, North Coast Container LLC and Chairman of IPANA & ICDM

Speaker bio: Kyle is an entrepreneur with a history of building a collection of profitable companies in a heavy industrial, unionized environment, often while facing significant industry consolidation and competition from multi-national corporations. His experience is second to none, and currently acts as Chair to the Industrial Packaging Alliance of North America as well as CEO of Myers Container.


Speaker: Janice Loppe, President of United Packaging Association (UPA)

Speaker bio: Janice serves as the President of United Packaging Associates (UPA), a strategic networking organization for individuals in the packaging community.  UPA’s mission is to help people realize their potential in the packaging community through strategic connections and shared learning events that deliver value to a continuously evolving industry.


Speaker: Ismael Santiago, Chair of United Packaging Association (UPA)

Speaker bio: Janice serves as the Chairman of United Packaging Associates (UPA), a strategic networking organization for individuals in the packaging community.  UPA’s mission is to help people realize their potential in the packaging community through strategic connections and shared learning events that deliver value to a continuously evolving industry.

Chris Lind

Speaker: Chris Lind, Vice Chair and Treasurer of IPANA and Chairman of RIBCA

Speaker bio: Lind recently retired from his position as Director of Technology and Regulatory Affairs at Mauser after a long and illustrious career specializing in hazardous materials compliance with a special expertise in packaging. His responsibilities included ensuring that all packaging produced by Mauser complied with US DOT and international regulations. In that capacity he was the Director of their US DOT Approved Third Party Laboratory.  Mauser is the only large industrial packaging manufacturer with approval.


Speaker: Paul Griffin, Technical Lead for Large Part Blowmolding in North America at LyondellBasell and RIBCA member

Speaker bio: In his current role, Paul provides technical support for existing polyolefin resins used in blowmolding applications, and plays a key role in developing new blowmolding resins for LyondellBasell’s Hyperzone HDPE process. He has also worked with blow molding machinery manufacturers on improving equipment design. Paul is a member of RIBCA, PDI and IPANA.


Speaker: Aaron Montgomery, CHMM, President of OURAY Environmental Services, LLC

Speaker bio: Mr. Montgomery is a member of the Institute of Hazardous Materials Managers and maintains the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) credential.  Mr. Montgomery is also a board member of the Dangerous Goods Advisory Council and a member of the Colorado Environmental Managers Society.


Speaker: Herb Spann, Engineering Manager of Snyder Industries, Inc and RIBCA member

Speaker bio: At Snyder Industries, Herb is responsible for all of the company’s regulatory affairs relating to bulk and non-bulk packaging. Snyder maintains over 60 annual packaging certifications for the US DOT and Transport Canada, and Herb overseas all of the testing and reporting activities related to sustaining the company’s regulatory standing and certification records. He is a member of RIBCA and IPANA.


Speaker: Chris Surovick, Director of Digital Strategy, OneMagnify

Speaker bio: With more than 12 years of digital marketing, strategy and development expertise, Chris Surovick uses a diverse, multi-channel approach to combining the user experience with the technical know-how needed to advance businesses. At OneMagnify, Chris concentrates on new customer acquisition, digital business development and SEO/SEM/social/lead generation. Chris has been involved with startups to Fortune® 100 companies and everything in between. Some of the clients Chris has strategically supported include The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch, Aeropostale, Scholastic, Martha Stewart Crafts, DTZ, Avnet, Huntington Learning Centers and Rutgers University.


Speaker: Ken Suwala, Account Director, OneMagnify

Speaker bio: Ken is an account director with more than 15 years of experience in Marketing Program Management, Client Management, and Business Development. Working within agencies large and small, Ken has supported direct and digital marketing for B2B and B2C clients in the financial, retail, automotive, and industrial categories. At OneMagnify, Ken helps clients solve their marketing challenges using sound business strategy, creative ingenuity and an eye for future technologies. Leveraging multi-channel solutions that incorporate direct mail, email, web, and social and digital tactics, Ken is always focused on client ROI. He has held former roles at Merkle, Harte-Hanks and Bank of America and has supported clients including DuPont, Chemours, Nationwide Financial, GEICO and PetSmart.


Speaker: Lourenco Lehrfeld, Director of Business Developement, Dream Syndicate - Philadelphia

Speaker bio: Lourenço is Dream Syndicate's newest team member focused on business development, marketing and sales. In his late 20's, while working for a Dutch chemical company as responsible for a region of more than 20 countries, Lourenço lived on the road exploring new markets and establishing business ventures. In 2017 he followed his heart to the US where he eventually met Dream Syndicate. Excited by the promise and potential of the company he joined the team - armed with the ambition and goal of making a positive impact in the world through technology. As a business developer, he is obsessed with creating value for his customers.


Speaker: Ben Carter, Executive Producer, Dream Syndicate - Philadelphia

Speaker bio: With over 15 years of experience in production, and nearly 7 of those years working with Blue Visual Effects, Ben was an integral part of the formation of Dream Syndicate. Born from Blue's long-running investments in AR/VR, Dream Syndicate became the natural offshoot and embodiment of years of hard work and innovative thinking. As a critical team member, Ben is involved in all aspects and stages of work, from conception through delivery. He ensures that clients are happy, the staff is working, and milestones are made throughout the entire process.


Speaker: Paul W. Rankin, President, RIPA

Speaker bio: Paul has been President of the Reusable Industrial Packaging Association since 1990. RIPA represents approximately 110 companies that recondition, manufacture and distribute industrial shipping containers, or which supply materials and expertise to these firms. Member companies annually recondition about 25 million steel drums; 4-6 million plastic drums; 5-8 million fiber drums; and nearly 3 million intermediate bulk containers. Paul is actively involved in national and international legislative, standards setting and regulatory activities.


Speaker: Blake Oakley, General Manager, Morrison Industries Tennessee Operations

Speaker bio: Blake Oakley is the General Manager of Morrison Industries Tennessee Operations.  Prior to his current role, Blake led Morrison's product management group including sales, account management and engineering.  Morrison Industries designs and manufacturers returnable steel packaging for automotive and other highly specialized industries.  




Speaker: Phil Carver, Packaging Engineer for Nissan

Speaker bio: Phil has 27 years’ experience designing and implementing packaging.  Currently he works, primarily, with Nissan’s Powertrain plants.  His responsibilities include incoming parts, internally produced parts, designing packaging for robots, and designing external shipping racks for Domestic and International shipments. Phil has served on the Board of Directors of TAMA (Tennessee Automotive Manufacturers Association) where he also served as President and Vice President.  In 2016 he won Nissan’s Global Achievement Award for highest cost savings.
