Modular Returnable Packaging with Nissan

Topic: To save both time and money on large-quantity custom-manufactured returnable automotive packaging, we partnered with our customer, Nissan, to move to a modular-style rack. Unlike the typical automotive rack, which is designed to hold one part for one version of one vehicle, a modular rack allows us to bolt part-specific pods onto the rack base, which can later be reused for the next model launch. This saves automakers money by allowing them to reuse rack bases for many more years. It also saves valuable time on the next launch because suppliers only need to build smaller pods to add to the existing rack bases.
