Andy Stanley, Director, RAS

Andy Stanley

A nuclear physicist by training, Andy has worked in the oil, gas, chemical and aviation industries for over 30 years.  Andy has developed a unique approach to risk assessment in the course of his career, particularly with regard to organisational change and major accident hazards.  He is regularly called upon to give advice on how to demonstrate compliance with new regulations.  Andy has created a number of specialist training courses and written several fire modelling computer codes.

Andras Peller

Andras Peller is the Director and Co-founder of Swiss Fire Protection Research and Development AG. Andras studied as an Economist at the Budapest Business School and built up an IT company in the Entertainment Industry which he was managing for more than 10 years. 

As a seasoned and successful leader, he learned to manage a middle-sized company effectively in a highly competitive international market. Being enthusiast for technological advancements and for Research and Development, Andras accepted a partner role in an international management consultancy firm, where he became the leader of the IP management branch of the company. Currently he is supervising this group of R&D projects, of which the most interesting are on the field of fire-fighting and disaster management. Andras became an expert in foam firefigthing security technologies, he has a proven track record of IP portfolio management and a solid understanding of patent-application processes from both a legal and technical/scientific standpoint. Current projects include developing new technologies for industrial firefighting and emergency systems.


Arnaud Waché, President, AWBP

Arnaud Wache

Arnaud Waché has 19 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.

After performing in various management position within Shell and Lyondellbasell, Arnaud joined the storage industry 8 years ago.

He started as Sales and marketing Director for South Europe for LBC tank terminals in charge of 7 terminals in France, Spain and Portugal.

After two successful years, he was promoted Sales Director for Europe and had the chance to manage LBC assets in Antwerp and Rotterdam managing more than 1 Million m3 capacity across Europe. Arnaud has both experience of the ARA and the Med market.

Following the divestment by LBC of his assets in South Europe, Arnaud Waché has created his own company and is now advising customers on their bitumen strategy. 


Bertrand Stoehr, Senior Project Manager, Keller

Bertrand

Bertrand Stoehr is the Key Account and Major Projects Senior Manager of Keller EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America), a division of Keller Group plc, a company listed at the London Stock Exchange. Prior to this position, he was in charge of Business Development for the Group during 4 years. His former positions were Managing Director of the Business Unit “South West Europe and North Africa” during 11 years, President of Keller Fondations Spéciales SAS (France), Director of the Board of Kellerterra in Spain and CEO of Keller Algeria after several senior positions as a technical and commercial manager in a number of Keller companies. Bertrand Stoehr has a university degree in Civil Engineering and has over 28 years of experience in ground improvement design and construct projects for the whole construction industry, especially for bulk storage and major structures.


Cüneyt Kazokoglu, Director of Long-Term Oil Service & Head of Oil Demand, FGE

Cüneyt Kazokoglu

Cuneyt is responsible for overseeing all the company’s oil demand forecasts, both short and long term, which underpins the Group’s retainer services and ad-hoc projects. In this role he is called upon to make presentations to clients outlining potential market & industry developments and to discuss the strategic implications, under scenario, and brainstorming exercises.   

Cuneyt works closely with FGE’s other offices, being responsible for co-ordinating the input in the Group’s mid-long term market forecasting and is required to present and discuss these perspectives with FGE clients around the world. He regularly contributes to FGE’s reports and has been heavily involved in particular with FGE Group’s Annual Long Term Oil Market report covering the period through 2040, which represents the Group’s core analytical building block for its perspectives on future developments in oil demand, supply, and prices.

He has a M.Sc. Economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (2005). 


Edwin van der Leden, Eddyfi Technologies

After completing a mechanical engineering study in 1991, Edwin worked for a Dutch NDT company for 13 years. In this period he had roles of increasing importance from NDT Technician to project management and software development for advanced NDT applications. In 2006 he joined a large U.S. blue chip multinational where he held the position of senior product manager for the corrosion monitoring line until late 2012. In the period 2012-2016 Edwin put his effort in developing Guided Wave Tomography technology. Today Edwin is the product specialist for Eddyfi Technologies for the Silverwing business unit. In this role Edwin is, together with the Silverwing UK development department in Swansea,  developing and  launching a new inspection technologies based on MFL and UT technology.


Ellen Ruhotas, Managing Director, Zenith Terminals

Ms. Ruhotas has over 25 years of experience in Engineering, Safety, Operations and Commercial Management of Bulk Liquid Storage Terminals.  She has Board level experience in the terminals sector including expertise in all aspects of Terminal Operations for a full range of products as well as in-depth engineering design, construction and project management of all aspects of chemical, LPG and petroleum storage systems.  Ms. Ruhotas also has extensive experience working in China, forming, developing and managing joint ventures, working with Chinese shareholders, customers and government authorities and suppliers.

Previously, Ms. Ruhotas was the Regional Director for Stolthaven Terminals in Asia-Pacific and General Manager Stolthaven China (Stolt Nielsen group).  Prior to Stolt, Ms. Ruhotas was General Manager with Pacific Terminals Australia and China, Operations Manager with Email Limited (Petroleum Division) and Engineering Services Manager with BP Australia Limited.  Ms. Ruhotas received a Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical/Industrial from the University of New South Wales, graduating with First Class Honours.  She also received an MBA and Bachelor of Law from Macquarie University graduating with First Class Honours.  Ms Ruhotas is also qualified and practices as an International Commercial Arbitrator.


Fabio Kuhn, CEO, Vortexa

Fabio

Fabio Kuhn is the Founder and CEO of Vortexa, the leading market intelligence and analytics company using artificial intelligence technologies for global energy markets. Prior to Vortexa, Mr Kuhn was the Head of BP’s global front-office technology programme and innovation group.

Before joining BP, Mr Kuhn had various technology leadership roles at Uniper (formerly known as E.ON Energy Trading) in Dusseldorf, Germany. He was also a Quant Trader in a Statistical Arbitrage hedge fund based in San Francisco and worked at the NASA Ames Research Centre in Moffett Field, California. While in college, Mr Kuhn started a successful Internet access company, which he was fortunate to sell just before the dotcom crash in 2000.

Mr Kuhn has a Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies (Information Management Systems) from Harvard University, a graduate certificate in Quantitative Methods in Finance and Risk Management from Stanford University, an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Purdue University and a Bachelor in Business Administration from UNIFACS. 


Frank Schaper, Director, German Tank Storage Association, UTV

Frank Schaper

Frank is 57 years of age, married and has two daughters. He started his professional career in 1986 as master mariner on LPG tankers. He has 

• As of 1992 gaining experience in the refining area in Wilhelmshaven / Germany

• As of 1997 working in different functions in the tank storage sector in Germany and the Netherlands for companies such as Vopak and VTTI

• As of 2016 Secretary General of the German tank storage association UTV

Frank

Frank Miksicek joined Honeywell as a Software Solution Architect in 2018. He is a consultant in a range of industry sectors in the EMEA region, helping customers accelerate their digital transformation and boost their profitability. Prior to joining Honeywell, Frank was involved in high profile system integration projects for large blue-chip companies predominantly based in the United Kingdom. Frank holds a Master’s degree in Computer Sciences.


Ilya Tillekens, Senior Consultant, Hudson Cybertec

Ilya Tillekens has more than 30 years’ experience in the IACS domain (Oil & Gas and Chemicals) of which more than 20 years’ security related. He brings experience, creativity, structure and innovation to help companies with the implementation of cyber security. He has a wide knowledge of different IACS, IT and IM systems and processes, with attention to safety, availability and reliability. His experience includes IACS related project management on green field and brown field EPC projects worldwide.


Jan Edelmann, Commodity Analyst

Jan Edelmann

Jan was until recently the Commodity Strategist in the Economics team at HSH Nordbank. He covered there commodities in the context of corporate risk management, short and long-term commodity investment strategies and asset allocation. Jan developed the Commodities Research team at HSH Nordbank to one of the leading Commodity Research teams in the German speaking area, with a strong media presence and regular quotes in quality newspapers and international news agencies (Bloomberg, Reuters). 

He regularly presents his views on Commodities at leading industry events. Jan holds an BSc in Economics from the University of Munich and a MSc in Economics from the University of Mannheim.


Jan van den Blink, Project Director, GPS terminal in Amsterdam

Jan Ven Der

Jan van den Blink is the Project Director of GPS group and in charge of the Phase 2 expansion project in Amsterdam at the GPSA terminal. Prior to this position, he was working at Vopak, as Manager Projects Europe and Africa and Middle East, during the last 5 years. His former positions within Vopak, were Project Director Vopak Algeciras in Spain, and Project Director Vopak Jakarta in Indonesia. During 25 years, he has been working in Asia, Latin America and Middle East in various projects, like in Singapore, China, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Bahrein, Egypt, UEA etc.  Jan van den Blink has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has over 35 years of experience in tank terminal construction projects worldwide.


Jean-Baptiste Renard, CEO, 2PR Consulting

Jean Baptiste

Jean-Baptiste (JB) Renard is the founder and CEO of 2PR Consulting (www.2prc.com), a high impact independent consultancy.  JB worked 24 years in BP, including 10 at one level below the Main Board.  JB Renard’s lead there large global downstream and Petrochemicals businesses.  As the head of BP Group in Europe from 2006 to 2010, JB Renard was very involved in the development, advocacy and deployment of energy policies, including renewables policies

Since leaving BP in 2010, JB has been sharing his professional life between pro-bono consultancy / coaching for social entrepreneurs as well as developing energy activities through 2PR consulting.  JB is involved with senior think tanks and a special adviser for energy at FIPRA International.  He serves as a non-executive Board Member for Neste (Finland), CLH (Spain), Masana (South Africa) and IFP Training (France).

JB Renard is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique in France, and of the IFP School with who he stayed connected as a frequent lecturer, a former President of their Alumni Association and a member of the school supervisory board.


Jeff Dewar, Senior Vice President, Americas, LBC Tank Terminals

Jeff Dewar

Jeff T. Dewar currently serves as Senior Vice President, Americas and has served in such capacity since 2018. He performed the duties of Vice President, Business Development from 2015 through June 2018. Jeff has been in the terminal industry for more than 13 years. Before joining LBC, he gained his experience by progressing through the marketing and business development departments at Vopak to the position of Senior Manager of Business Development having responsibility for the US Gulf Coast. Jeff was born in Canada and prior to beginning his career in the energy industry, he was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the N.H.L and played professional hockey until 2004. He also earned a degree in Economics.


Jon Stenning, Associate Director, Cambridge Econometrics

Jon Stenning

Jon Stenning is an Associate Director at Cambridge Econometrics, where he is the overall lead for work on energy, climate and circular economy. He specialises in the understanding and quantification of the economic impacts associated with decarbonisation and has extensive experience in distilling complex economic and econometric analysis into policy-relevant messages across a few fields. He has led a few studies assessing the potential rate of decarbonisation of motor vehicle transportation in Europe, and the implications of this for the economy and upon demand for fuels.


Kathryn Clay, President, ILTA

Kathryn clay

Kathryn Clay is the president of the International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA), the only trade association to advocate exclusively for the tanks and terminals industry.

She came to ILTA from the American Gas Association, where she served as vice president policy from 2013 to 2018. Clay also served concurrently as the executive director of the American Gas Foundation, a position she held since joining AGA in 2011. Her responsibilities at AGA included serving as executive director of the Drive Natural Gas Initiative, a joint project of natural gas utilities and gas producers.

Prior to joining AGA, Clay was vice president for research and technology policy at the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers. She was a member of the professional staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources from 2005 to 2008. She also served on the professional staff of the Energy Subcommittee of the House Committee on Science from 2003 to 2005.

Kathryn holds a Ph.D. in applied physics and a master’s degree in electrical engineering, both from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Marcel Jutte, Managing Director, Hudson Cybertec

Marcel Jutte

After studying Electrical Engineering, Marcel started in the mid 80's as a System Architect for Industrial Engineering and Automation he is nowadays known as an Industrial Automation & Control Systems (IACS) Security veteran with strong focus on business value.

Throughout his career, he served sectors include Oil & Gas, military, water treatment, national defense, critical infrastructure and education. With over 30 years of IACS and OT domain experience, he brings experience, creativity, structure & innovation to secure organizations with the implementation of cybersecurity management. Since the early days of the cyber security standard, the IEC 62443, Marcel has been a strong advocate for this IACS Cyber Security Framework.

As Managing Director of Hudson Cybertec and Committee Member of (IEC/NEN related) Industrial Platform Cyber Security in The Netherlands, Marcel is a prominent and engaging speaker/lecturer at security conferences/events.


Mark Williams, Managing Director, Shipping Strategy

Pete Harrison, Executive Director, EU Policy, European Climate Foundation

Pete Harrison

Pete is the Executive Director for EU Policy, overseeing the ECF’s programmes for sectors including transport, buildings, energy systems and industrial decarbonisation. As such, his main focus is on the policy reforms that will be needed to ensure Europe makes a fair and prosperous transition to an economy that is smart, efficient and mainly powered by renewables. This follows 7 years leading the ECF’s work towards achieving a clean mobility system. Prior to joining the ECF, Pete was the EU Energy & Environment Correspondent for the international news agency Reuters, responsible for covering all aspects of European energy policy and geopolitics. This followed on from a decade at Reuters and other international news organisations, covering equity, debt and commodity markets. He also serves on a number of corporate advisory boards on sustainability and has published several books and papers on ecology.


Peter Davidson, Executive Director, Tank Storage Association

Peter is the Executive Director of the Tank Storage Association, representing the interests of over 50 companies who operate more than 300 terminals in the UK or provide equipment and services to the sector.  Peter is responsible for all aspects of advocacy and lobbying on behalf of the sector, and is also tasked with promoting process safety leadership, helping members achieve excellence in this area and work toward becoming high reliability organisations. Peter works in close collaboration with the UK Government and Regulators and is a leading member of cross-industry committees, Process Safety groups and the Federation of European Tank Storage Associations.

Prior to joining TSA in April 2016, Peter was the Director of Safety, Commercial and Projects at the UK Petroleum Industry Association and formerly the Regulatory Compliance Manager for ABB Automation in the UK, specialising in the delivery of automation systems to highly regulated industries, including the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical and Nuclear sectors.

Raquel joined Newson Gale as a European Sales Executive in 2016. As the first point of contact for European customers and distributors, Raquel is regarded as a trusted advisor in controlling the ignition risks presented by the accumulation of static electricity in hazardous areas. She can offer advice on electrostatic control solutions based on the customer's risk assessment, industrial processes and hazardous area requirements, in accordance with the internationally recognised best practice guidelines outlined in ‘IEC 60079-32-1 Explosive Atmospheres, Electrostatic Hazards – Guidance (2013)’.

 


Ron Heffron, Senior Market & Project Director, COWI

Ron Heffron is a Sr. Market Director with COWI, leading COWI's global involvement in the Oil & Gas Sector. Mr. Heffron is a veteran of the energy industry and has over 35 years of experience in the planning and design of marine and energy facilities. He has extensive experience on marine projects involving liquid bulk, LNG, petrochemical, and floating LNG terminals globally.  Mr. Heffron is also very active in international technical activities devoted to improving the state of practice in the field of waterfront engineering.  He serves as chairman of PIANC Working Group 153, which recently published a new document called “Recommendations for the Design and Assessment of Marine Oil and Petrochemical Terminals”, and is currently leading the update of this document to include LNG and Floating LNG topics. In addition, he has author of nearly 100 technical papers presented worldwide, relating to the planning, design, upgrade and rehabilitation of facilities in the marine environment.

Being educated in logistics, I started my career in 1989 with Philips in physical distribution. In 1991 I joined the Port of Rotterdam at the Port Innovation department. I started off with projects in container logistics and later worked on “Chemicals & Logistics” and liquid bulk and tank storage business development projects in the Commercial department.

My role now as Advisor Business Intelligence is to follow what is happening in global liquid bulk cargo flows, markets and logistics. This data I curate for projects and to inform people outside of our company. I am a regular speaker at conferences.


Stephen Harrison, Principal, Nexant, Energy and Chemicals Advisory

Stephan Harrison

Stephen Harrison holds the position of Principal; Germany in the Nexant Energy & Chemicals Advisory team.  Based in Munich, he leads Nexant’s German, and DACH region consulting activities.  He has 28 years of experience working in the energy and chemicals sectors, more than half of that time in global business leadership roles.  Stephen, who is a German national and fluent German speaker, has been based in Germany for 14 years.  He was previously global head of the specialty gases business for Linde Gas in Munich and prior to that was based in the UK, holding a global director role with BOC, a FTSE 100 chemicals company.  His strengths lie in strategy development and the alignment of business goals with environmental, health and safety dynamics.  Growth and investment planning round out his expertise.  He has also been heavily involved in multiple M&A transactions and post-merger integration activities.  Stephen is a Chartered Engineer and holds a Master of Chemical Engineering degree from Imperial College, UK.

Tomas Hasselgren, Global Business Development Manager, Tank Gauging, Emerson

Tomas is the Manager Global BDM for the Rosemount Tank Gauging group in Emerson Automation Solutions. He has 22 years of experience in tank gauging solutions for the terminals and tank storage industry. Prior roles with Rosemount includes Business Development, driving and developing SW for control room and after sales support.  Tomas is based in Gothenburg, Sweden where the main Tank Gauging facility is located. In a previous role he has also been based in Beijing China as a Rosemount Tank Radar specialist. Tomas main expertise lays within Level and Tank Gauging solutions and measurements and the work experience spans across a large variety of customers in all world-areas. Tomas has a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Kalmar University, Sweden.
