Workshop content
As a designer, what are my options for creating attractive packaging? How can a brand be positioned for optimal effect at the POS – and beyond? How can packaging be made to communicate directly with consumers? Which special and/or functional characteristics should be considered for food packaging?

Parameters for a successful packaging design are discussed with reference to many cases and patterns:
• Case Study Invitation to fair: personalization options with new, digital film processing
• Case Study Luxury Drinks "El Drago": Strong tactile effects nearly identical to carton and label
• Case study Lifestyle cereals "Mueslove": extending the visibility of a brand, from POS ranging in the habitat of the consumer and food- safe finishes

The goal of this workshop tailored for designers and creatives is to provide an overview of the technical possibilities available – and their implementation – along the entire process chain, from design to prototype through to the various print and finishing techniques.
