Iriodin® DFP effect pigment preparations for effortless, dust-free incorporation into all types of printing inks
With Iriodin® 6107 Icy White Lightning, Merck expands its vision of the Iriodin® Icy White effect pigment series. Like the other pigments in the product family, the newest addition is produced using a synthetic mica substrate that contains virtually no impurities and is therefore color neutral.
Miraval® 5430 Cosmic Gold is the first of an exciting new generation of effect pigments based on calcium aluminum borosilicate, which gives print products and plastics particular extravagance.
Any color, even white, is plotted on electronic displays by red, green and blue pinpoints of light. Our Spectraval™ pigments now transfer the additive color mixing technology into printing – and pave the way to unseen brilliance.
We managed to produce some real-life packaging examples, that we are proud to present at the Show. They indeed demonstrate the massive enhancement of the whole packaging, even RGB is applied solely on small areas.
For the converters we designed a useful tool, that indepth explains the functionality of Spectraval pigments. Our RGB-Color Compendium will be of great help in the pre-press, and supports gravure printers to become familiar with this exciting technique.
Process for RGB printing developed by Merck KGaA Darmstadt (Germany) in cooperation with Lorenz Boegli of Atelier für Siebdruck, Lorenz Boegli, Müntschemier (CH).
