Employing straightforward laboratory procedures, you'll get an introduction to the microbiology technologies for isolating bacteriophages and how to put these to use as anti-infectives. You'll discuss the challenges associated with such new therapeutic measures. These viruses - natural predators of bacteria - were discovered in 1915. In the context of rising resistance to antibiotics among the population, they have become the object of renewed scientific interest. The question is whether they represent a true therapeutic alternative.
The Workshops takes place on 14 April at 10.00 and 13.30. Only limited places available.
The Workshops are held in French.
