  • The implementation of ICH Guidelines Q3D and USP <232> & 233>

The ICH Q3D guideline presenting a policy for limiting metals in drug products and pharmaceutical ingredients has now reached step 5 - the implementation stage. There is little time to waste for the pharmaceutical industry. The new Elemental Impurities guidelines should already be considered in the development of new drug products. Furthermore, plans for assessing risks and measuring metals in existing products should be highly prioritized.

  • Isotope Ratio Testing

Isotope Ratio Analysis - ALS Scandinavia capabilities

The isotopic composition of a certain element can be used as a fingerprint providing information on the processes that the element has undergone. This is possible because isotopic compositions are naturally varying and are affected by numerous variables such as the element source, weather conditions, biological and biochemical processes or the geological age of a material. Consequently, isotope ratio measurements may be a source of valuable extra information... PLEASE READ MORE IN PDF.

  • Accredited analysis of 68 elements in blood, serum, plasma and urine!

Measuring the levels of metals in clinical samples, often referred to as biomonitoring, is required in a variety of fields. Medicine, occupational health studies and therapeutic research, to name but a few, all rely on such information.

Due to the high toxicity of some elements, measurements at very low levels are often required. ALS
Scandinavia has nearly 15 years of experience of analyzing human biological matrices using high resolution
ICP-MS (ICP-SFMS) and we are now proud to offer accredited analyses of 68 elements in whole blood,
    plasma, serum and urine.
