«Empack» feiert Jubiläum: Der führende Verpackungs-Branchenevent in der Schweiz findet 2016 zum 10. Mal statt.
Visions und Values: Das ist 2016 das Motto für die Easyfairs-Verpackungsevents in Deutschland und der Schweiz. Vor 10 Jahren wurde die «Empack» als einzigartiges Messeformat in der Schweiz lanciert. Aus der einen Messe für Verpackungslösungen, Prozesse & Design sind inzwischen drei europaweit erfolgreiche Messebrands geworden - «Empack», «Packaging Innovations» und «Label&Print». Sie bieten eine ideale Bühne, um Zukunftsvisionen aus Technik, Design und Markenwelt der richtigen Zielgruppe zu präsentieren. In Deutschland findet an einem neuen Standort die «Empack» 2016 erstmals parallel zur Intralogistik-Leitmesse CeMAT in Hannover statt – mit stark internationaler Ausrichtung. Inszenierung von Verpackung an der Schnittstelle zu Design, Lifestyle und Kunst steht im Mittelpunkt der «Packaging Innovations» 2016 in der Fischauktionshalle Hamburg.

Art-as-packaging provides room for unique brand-staging concepts within the framework of Packaging Innovations, Empack and Label&Print in Hamburg, Hannover, Zurich and Vienna.
Enveloped in a delicate honeycomb structure of corrugated cardboard: visually and technically stunning, the “Packaging Art House” provides a new viewpoint onto the topic of packaging as marketing tool and design object per se. The concept was developed by the Viennese design studio, Papertown, in cooperation with Easyfairs. Under the headline "the wrapper is everything", the organiser of the international packaging events Packaging Innovations, Empack and Label&Print is planning to use the “Packaging Art House” in upcoming shows as a platform for special exhibits and extraordinary installations as well as for presentations of exclusive brands and products.
The World of Packaging Zurich 2015, with its trio of shows encompassing Empack, Packaging Innovations and Label&Print, confirms once more its position as the top event for the Swiss packaging industry. On both show days (25 & 26 March), visitors informed themselves about the latest trends and innovations through the diverse offerings along the entire packaging process chain.
After two intensive show days, Welt der Verpackung Zurich has come to a successful close. With its individual trade fairs Empack, Packaging Innovations and Label&Print, the trend-setting Swiss packaging event once again proved its drawing power, cementing its leading position. In total, 232 exhibitors used the show as a platform for targeted networking and doing business.
The «World of Packaging » comprising the trade fair trio of «Empack», «Packaging Innovations» and «Label&Print» will be unveiled on 25 & 26 March 2015 in Zürich with a fresh new look and inspired by practical concepts. «Myeasyday», for example, is a new visitor service provided by Easyfairs: Individual tour suggestions make it easier to find your way round the trade fair halls and gives you rapid access to programme highlights and the exhibitors of your choice. 3D print technology can be experienced live by participants in the workshops of 3D-Model AG. With a total of 3395 visitors in 2015, the triple trade show – Empack, Packaging Innovations and Label&Print – set a new record in Hamburg. "That's 30 percent more visitors than in 2014 – a really excellent result," says Martina Hofmann, Event Director for the Easyfairs packaging shows in the DACH region. "This success confirms that we're on the right track." On both show days (25 & 26 March), visitors informed themselves about the latest trends and innovations through diverse offerings along the entire packaging process chain. Deutsche Messe AG is strengthening the packaging technology business segment at CeMAT 2016 with the Empack and Label&Print trade
fair programmes. Representatives of Deutsche Messe have signed a
strategic partnership agreement with Easyfairs Deutschland GmbH under
which Empack and Label&Print will in future be organised as guest events
at CeMAT. They will appear in this format for the first time in Hanover from
31 May to 3 June 2016 – the event organisers are expecting around 200
exhibitors across 10,000 m2 of floor space.

Larger and with new focal areas: The show previously known as "Verpackung" will premiere under its new name, «Empack», on 28 – 29 January 2015 in Hamburg. In its tenth year of existence, this central meeting point for the packaging industry is still growing:
Clear structures and promising projects – easyFairs® Switzerland is aiming a growth strategy for the upcoming trade show year. The established formats «Solids» (Schüttgut) and «Empack» (Verpackung) will be aligned internationally. The aim is a target group focused and a versatile development of the trade show offer. The new format «Automation&Electronics» will be launched in Lausanne and Zurich. Starting the 1st July 2014 the easyFairs-team in Muttenz is reinforced by Christian Rudin.
Accompanying the show «Packaging Innovations», easyFairs Switzerland GmbH organized for the first time the «Passion for Packaging – Conference».
The focus was laid on catering, luxury and design products and goods in the high-end price segment which feature an appropiate packaging.
The bottom line on greenhouse gases resulting from «Verpackung Zürich 2014» and «Packaging Innovations 2014» has now been tallied: According to the calculations of environmental consultants ClimatePartner, for both show days and across a range of categories, a total of 260,469.031 kg of CO2 (or equivalents) were generated. Mobility – travel and transportation by car, train and plane – was the source of most of the emissions.
To offset the CO2 produced in association with the event, easyFairs is voluntarily supporting an environmental protection project in Ghana.
Successful premiere – Packaging Innovations Zürich attracts enormous interest
easyFairs hit a successful landing point with its first «Packaging Innovations Zürich 2014»: 123 exhibitors and 4095 visitors attended the European show for creativ packaging, design and brandbuilding. The visitors could also benefit from the co-located show «Verpackung Zürich 2014».
