Mini conference Supply Chain Collaboration - MVO Nederland (NL)

Thursday April 4 - 1:30 PM - 2:45 PM

For the packaging industry, there is a lot of added value when information is shared throughout the entire chain. For example in the area of recycling, it is important that high-quality plastic is returned to the beginning of the chain in order to be able to use it again. In addition, the choice for a specific packaging material is very important. When data or knowledge of the total chain is shared, it may show that an alternative packaging material is more favorable, because this reduces the risk of shrinking, or that this is more sustainable than the option that would have been choosen without this sharing across the chain.

In chain collaboration, it is all about sharing chain information. Before all links are ready to make this switch, the foundation needs to be in place first: trust, equality and added value. How do you arrive at an optimal design of the chain and how is the collected data translated into improvements?
