The Dutch Pastry Team organizes the Dutch Pastry Award. This is a professional competition at the highest level patisserie. Confectioners win this prestigious award by making the best show piece and (dessert) cake, only with edible materials. By winning this competition, the winner gets the prospective membership of the NPT. In this way, new members are recruited and his professional expertise and exchange of new knowledge is secured by the pastry chefs.
Like last year, the Dutch Pastry Award takes place on Bakkersvak. New this year is that the presentation, judging and award ceremony takes place on the same day. On Sunday 5 March, all visitors of Bakkersvak see who wins this prestigious title. With the theme Film, this edition promises to be really flasy one. The visitors can watch the judging live. An essential part is that they can cast their own vote.
