    Embedded/Real-Time & Medical Technology Software Engineers

    Job scope
    As an Embedded & Real-Time Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical design and implementation of embedded real-time software systems. You will develop and implement test concepts, test procedures and test automation. You will also be responsible for firmware development. Other aspects of the job include project management. You will work in interdisciplinary teams on multiple exciting projects using the most innovative and sophisticated technologies.

    As a Software Engineer specializing in Medical Technology, you will be responsible for the design, architecture and implementation of embedded real-time software systems, participating in the specification/definition phase. You will develop and implement test concepts, test procedures and test automation. Other aspects of the job include project management. You will work in interdisciplinary teams (such as Mechanics, Pneumatics and Industry Design) to develop products in the fields of Medical Technology, Sensor Technology and Metrology.

    To qualify for the Embedded/Real-Time- as well as Medical Technology Software Engineer, you have:

    - Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent
    - Proficiency in C/C++ programming
    - Understanding of real-time and/or embedded operating systems - Strong knowledge in planning and executing tests for real-time systems and firmware
    - Knowledge of ARM processor architectures
    - Knowledge of architectures of various processors (such as Intel - XScale, ARM< Motorola ColdFire, DSP)
    - Experience in creating architecture using UML and Design Patterns
    - Familiarity with important communication protocols and bus systems
    - Excellent communication skills
