Aerospace approved thermal treatments, include vacuum, age, case and precipitation harden, solution treatment, gas and plasma nitride. Annealing includes alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminium alloy, titanium alloy and magnesium alloy. Approvals: AS9100, NADCAP, OEMs Rolls-Royce, BAE, Airbus, Safran, Bombardier, Boeing and Moog.
Hard coatings extend mould and tool life and enable higher cutting speeds. Coated motorsport parts allow engines to run hotter, faster and longer, with lower friction. Coatings for aerospace components reduce fuel use and extend engine on-wing time. Medical coatings enhance the surfaces of implant and surgical devices.
Vacuum brazing joins similar and dissimilar materials. Void free and leak proof joints promote joint strength and integrity. Processed under a vacuum, it reduces residual stresses, allowing other heat treatments to take place.
Using 3D models and CNC patterns, we make durable heat resistant Ni/Cr castings and fixtures, in short lead times. Light-weight to save energy, these resist distortion and cracking.
In-house testing and quality monitors our processes. We provide investigative and failure analysis services; material science experts produce accurate reports that help you solve surface engineering problems.
Other services include decorative coatings of jewellery and architectural components. Nitron CA coatings provide a new and safe environmentally friendly alternative to hard chromium plating. We are the UK provider of Cemecon tool coating processes. We design and make our own vacuum coating systems and bespoke kit for customers.
