The LMRS. levelling feet from Elesa are manufactured in stainless steel (AISI 303/304) and designed to shed liquids downward. They are consequently excellent for levelling of equipment used in food processing, abattoirs and other hygiene sensitive applications.
The low sulphur content of materials used in the LMRS and design features such as convex base with sleeved bolt are particularly significant to the food industry. An adjustable sleeve covers the threaded stem, and other sharp edges and corners have been to a large extent avoided, thus increasing the efficiency of power cleaning measures in messy environments.

Vibration Damping Elements from Elesa – for health & safety, machine longevity and equipment accuracy
LW.A vibration damping units from Elesa feature natural rubber damping pads built into an adjustable levelling foot design. They have been designed to damp vibrations, shocks and noise from moving components or non-balanced masses such as rotating machines. This vibration can cause significant detrimental effects on operator health as well as malfunctioning/reduction-in-lifespan of the machine or adjacent equipment.
“Active” machine isolation is described as being for vibration producing equipment such as presses, machine tools, transfer equipment etc., as well as “passive” isolation which is considered as for equipment that might be adversely affected by external vibration, such as quality testing, measuring or performance assessment equipment. This “bi-directional” isolation is an important feature of the LW.A levelling elements and is often a feature in the same location.
Sizes of the LW.A damping elements range from 80mm dia. up to 200m dia. with maximum static load capacity of 40,000 N. Documentation is available that gives full technical guidance on correct selection to ensure the damping/isolation level required dependent upon frequency of vibration, static load and amplitude/ deflection of the equipment.

Sometimes it is important to secure levelling feet to the floor – to stop them “walking” with the movement of the equipment or machine – so maintaining alignment in production or transfer lines for example.
The LMR.F levelling elements from Elesa offer just this facility. They are available in sizes from 50mm up to 100mm – manufactured in zinc plated steel or AISI 304/303 stainless steel and fitted with a non-slip NBR rubber soled foot, which may additionally be fixed with an axially mounted screw via a side extension tab. This arrangement resists rotation and so stablilises the equipment.
IP67 Safety Switch and Hinge from Elesa
Combining multiple functions has many advantages for installers and operators so that the Elesa CFSW-110 IP67 180° hinge has been designed with its own built-in multiple safety switch, in order that in the event of accidental opening of a control cabinet door, machine panel or safety door, it automatically shuts off the power and protects the operators of machinery and production equipment. The CFSW is paired with its equivalent mechanical hinge, the CFMW-110 which facilitates a tough, safe installation.
The CFSW is double insulated and approved by IMQ CA02.04800 in compliance with EN 60947-1/2007 + EN 60947-5-1:2004 + A1/2009. Low voltage control auxiliaries. Approved by UL: E360222.l. It is available with different combinations of contacts with positive opening (2NO+2NC, 1NO+3NC etc). These robust units are tested to a B10d value of 2,000,000, are totally tamper-proof, and may be quickly and easily installed.
Standard connections are 8 pole connector or 8 core cable in 2m or 5m lengths. 180 degree opening is normal but other operating angles may be specified. Cost-reduced Q series levelling feet from Elesa
Elesa have announced their AISI 304 stainless steel levelling elements series LSQ.A-SST, LVQ.A-SST and LVQ.F-SST which extend their range at an even better price/performance point.
These levelling feet adopt the SMQ-SST threaded stems with adjusting square rather than the hexagon of the SM stems. The SMQ-SST stems use less material by use of ingenious machining from round stainless steel rod in place of the previous machined down hex bar.
The range includes a ground fixing foot design, a no-slip foot with friction pad insert and a standard technopolymer foot – all using the new stem which offers as much as a 30% cost saving achieved by more efficient use of raw materials. Sizes run from 32mm to 100mm dia., dependent on style of foot selected.
Versatile IP65/67 Direct Drive Electronic Position Indicator from Elesa
Elesa’s IP65/67 DD51-E electronic position indicator offers all the usability and accuracy of its forerunners plus added versatility and convenience in a single compact specification. The DD51-E is a battery powered direct drive unit which can be used on machine shafts in any position to provide a reading of the absolute or incremental positioning of a machine component. It is therefore suited to machines with rotating shafts such as roll handling e.g. refinishing, paper, card and other packaging production, printing and incremental feed equipment, where accurate rotation indexing is essential.
The DD51-E incorporates a 5 year life lithium battery and may be programmed to display linear measurements in metric or imperial - or angular measurement in degrees and to allow choice of reading after one revolution of the shaft, in addition the display orientation is user selectable to suit equipment layout. This versatility obviates the need to specify exact ratios, units and display parameters at the time of ordering. It of course also allows subsequent re-programming if the indicator is reallocated to new equipment or incorporated in a different process.
Elesa Direct Drive IP65/7 Electronic Position Indicator for 20mm shafts
The DD52R-E from Elesa fits larger 20mm dia. shafts while offering IP65 or IP67 sealing for arduous environments on industrial equipment of all kinds where high accuracy measurement of shaft position is required. This enables machine setting, counting or position monitoring to be achieved while providing an excellent easy to read six digit display that is legible in any position, with an 8 year battery life.
The flexibility of electronic menu setup allows the DD52R-E to be customised for orientation, absolute or incremental read-out, in metric or imperial – or for angular display in degrees, while of course being re-programmable at any time to suit a new application or new process.
The high degree of dust and water protection at IP65 or IP67 means that the unit is suitable for applications that require frequent wash-down, even with high power water jets, e.g. in food, pharmaceutical or similar environments.
Wireless spindle positioning system from Elesa speeds accurate machine set up
The Elesa wireless spindle positioning system enables faster and more reliable machine set up by use of a wireless connected profile controller, which displays the initial set up values on each of up to 36 electronic position indicators. The operator can simply choose the appropriate menu then quickly re-set each spindle to its correct start position and the machine is “good to go”. This saves time and takes out much of the possibility of human error.
Elesa DD52R-E-RF position indicators are networked to the UC-RF control unit by radio connection thus enabling an easy and quick installation. Current and target positions are transmitted by RF to and from the control unit, facilitating rapid machine set up.
The system consequently saves time during the format alignment process. Once the set up profile has been called up by the PLC, the control unit UC-RF transmits the target position to each DD52R-E-RF position indicator. The current/target position is displayed on the LCD of the DD52R-E-RF. The operator manually sets the position of the spindles following the arrow displayed on the LCD (clockwise/counter-clockwise rotation). Once all the spindles are correctly set, the UC-RF control unit communicates to the PLC of the machine that the setup has been completed - the system prevents the start of the machine until the set-up has been completed, for safety reasons and to prevent loss of production from incorrect settings.
The UC-RF controller can network with up to 36 position indicators and is compatible with PLC Interfaces: RS232, RS485, Ethernet/IP, Profibus and Modbus. The DD52R-E-RF (IP67) position indicator 6 digit display mode can be selected by the operator.
Elesa LMHD levelling feet – meeting hygiene standards, cleaning quickly and efficiently
The Elesa LMHD hygienic levelling feet with mounting holes provide rugged adjustable equipment mounting and facilitate reduced cleaning work – which can be up to 25% of the production time. Thus leaving more time available for production, with less use of resources such as fresh water, energy and cleaning agents, also with less waste water to process, and so lower total costs.
LMHD series feet are certified according to EHEDG guidelines and are therefore ideal for use in hygienic applications including not only where food is produced but in many other industrial areas, such as the pharmaceutical industry and in the manufacture of paints and dyes.
The LMHD levelling feet are designed with a bottom seal which protects the area beneath the foot plate from dirt and a sealing ring above the adjustment sleeve which enables fastening without creating a dead space.
