  • The Cube Compact Induction Heating Power Supplies

    The Cubes are a family of user friendly, bench-mounted induction
    heating power supplies, typically supplied with dedicated remote
    work-head assemblies and interfaced to a pendant controller.
    Available air cooled, or water cooled, subject to application

    The systems are supplied with proven RFP Software, which allows
    the operator to programme sequence steps of power level and time
    durations for precise control.

    The software can be supplied with an extended engineering level
    element, allowing for interrogation of the equipment settings and
    the delivered output power characteristics during the heating cycle.
    The systems can also provide quality assurance monitoring as an
    option. This would mean, for example, a miss-machined component,
    or rogue heating cycle can be detected.

  • The Benefits of RF Welding for Transportation

    What benefits can RF Dielectric Welding provide to the logistics and transport industries?

    Tarpaulins, side curtains, and roller covers made from plastics are routinely used to assist in the safe transportation of goods throughout the UK and the rest of the world.

    To protect the goods during transportation these plastic products need to be strong, long lasting and repairable if damaged. Polymer manufacturers have developed a range of plastic sheet materials specifically for these applications. These specific polymer formulations can withstand the harsh physical and mechanical environments encountered within the transportation industry.

    During the transformation into end user products, various design element accessories have to be added. Such as, straps, eyelets, wear pads and stiffening bands. The edges must also be sealed. RF welding provides an optimal method of adding these additional elements. RF Welding also, effectively tailors the sheet material to the required size with finished edging. The RF dielectric welded edge seal gives a durable, waterproof and uniform bond between sheet materials, maintaining their original features and benefits.

    RF dielectric welders come in various shapes and sizes. Large “Track welders” are ideal for a variety of applications, including welding tens of metres of material into one product. In contrast, small stationary welders are the choice for eyelet welding and badge welding.

    This application utilising RF dielectric welding can hence ensure goods are safely stored and transported.

  • Optimising Induction Heating Processes

    Stanelco’s new SSRF induction heating systems have output frequencies starting from 1MHz, and extended to in excess of 40Mhz (choice of frequency is application dependent) which are uniquely designed to replace old technology and achieve the highly desirable results discussed above. The main advantages of the SSRF models include; ultra-high electrical and thermal efficiencies, ease of operation, a dramatic reduction in the risk of overheating, less accidental heating of surrounding areas of the part being heated and most importantly perhaps - optimised stable and repeatable thermal process results.
    Successful use and application of this equipment is being enjoyed in the medical industry, amongst others, processing small, high value components requiring thermal processes such as annealing, brazing, soldering, bonding, welding and joining.

    It is ideally suited to intricate industrial applications, for example heating of carding wire, and anywhere where the process lends itself to highly selective induction heating such as for the production of knives, blades and other cutting devices.

    Other key benefits include extreme stability of heat source, excellent repeatability, no start up or shut down time, can be stopped and restarted on demand and low maintenance.
