    HR Responsibilities

    Responsible for the recruitment and staffing of all level positions in primarily a corporate and plant environment
    Provide advice, guidance and assistance to all management and supervisory staff on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs.
    Ensure compliance is strictly adhered to with regards to all relevant human resources related legislation.
    Thorough knowledge transfer and coaching, assist client group to acquire skills and knowledge for effectively handling and resolving employees' issues.
    Assist in the rollout of various HR based programs and initiatives.
    Ensures adequate training in the areas of new employee orientation, management training, benefits etc.
    Provides policy and procedure explanation and employee benefits information to newly hired employees and current employees, as necessary.
    Administers coaching/ counseling and/ discipline as appropriate. Maintains a positive and effective relationship with the workforce in an effort to accomplish business goals.
    Performs a variety of administrative duties for the Human Resources Manager.
    Prepares correspondence, memos and reports, documentation and filing.

    Safety Responsibilities

    Administrates and manages the functional aspects of facility waste disposal program.
    Manages paperwork associated with EHS programs including proper waste disposal documentation, near miss reports, incident investigation and other records to document compliance with facility permits, corporate requirements and governmental regulations.
    Assists facility EHS manager with Worker’s Compensation/WSIB / Disability Management Program by administering claims management with emphasis on early and safe return to work program, medical management, modified duties requirements, re-employment obligations.
    Ensures that all joint EHS/ Safety committee minutes, audits, Near Miss corrective actions are followed up on in a timely fashion.
    Participates in the facility EHS Audits on an on-going basis.
    Assists Facility EHS Manager with the performance of all legislative EHS training as outlined in the facility training matrix
    Assist Facility EHS Manager with follow up on all Accident / Incident reports to ensure that they are completed, investigated and that recommended preventative measures are acted upon.
    Coordinates training Spill Response Awareness Training & Waste Management Training
    Assists departments with spill reporting/processing reports/investigation and ensuring the necessary supplies such as spill kits, first aid supplies and proper training


  • Aerosol Engineer


    Maintains packaging line production by adjusting to product specifications; testing set-up; inspecting in-process and finished production; making adjustments; completing preventive maintenance requirements; training line operators.

    Sets up packaging and fill line equipment and conveyors by adjusting to product specifications; testing set-up.
    Maintains packaging quality by inspecting in-process and finished production; verifying specifications; identifying problems; making adjustments.
    Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs.
    Maintains packaging and fill line equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; correcting breakdowns; calling for maintenance support; identifying persistent problems.
    Overhaul and install new equipment. Rebuild and fabricate parts.
    Assists packaging line operations by training and coaching packaging line operators.
    Documents packaging line equipment actions by completing logs and records.
    Keeps packaging line mechanical supplies ready by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; stocking items.
    Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy packaging line environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns.
    Improves packaging line mechanical job knowledge by attending training sessions; reading technical publications.
    Contributes to packaging line and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
    Assumes other duties and responsibilities as required.


    A. Required (i.e. knowledge, prior experience)

    Aerosol & Liquid Filling Line set up and maintenance
    Basic math skills and computer literacy required.
    Must have a strong sense of urgency and is improvement and quality driven.
    Must have working knowledge of PLC programs, and a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and machine shop practices.
    Minimum 3 years experience as a packaging/production mechanic
    Good oral and written communication skills.
    Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
    Some prior production management experience is preferred.

    B. Preferred Additional

    Extra consideration given to candidates with Aerosol Packaging experience.


    Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics and manufacturing equipment.
    Electrical experience preferred.
    Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
    Extra considerations offered to candidates with cGMP, FDA and/ medical device experience.
    Ability to stand for long periods of time on a regular basis.
    Can work in/around/under equipment safely using LOTO and with the ability to diagnose and repair on the job.
