Easyfairs moves into the pharmaceutical packaging and devices market with partnership on new launch Connect in Pharma

New collaboration marks latest expansion of Europe’s leading packaging innovation events network with launch of event in Geneva.

London and Paris, September 6th 2021 – Leading global event organiser Easyfairs today announces the latest expansion of its international packaging events network with a new partnership on the launch of Connect in Pharma, a new event driving innovation in the international pharmaceutical packaging, devices and production market.

Connect in Pharma was initially launched by MIND Exhibitions to provide a platform of excellence for pharmaceutical and biotechnology production, with a qualitative, enriching and convivial experiential approach. The event will unite the international pharmaceutical market to define its future in one of the industry’s major international hubs, Geneva. Dedicated to downstream suppliers of pharmaceutical molecules and biotechnology products, it will focus on driving innovation and business in four key areas: packaging, medical devices, contract manufacturing (CMO/CDMO) and production equipment and processes. It will attract suppliers in those markets and a range of partners in regional clusters and associations, to meet with innovation, R&D, production and procurement teams from businesses across the pharmaceutical and life sciences markets.

Alongside exhibitors showcasing the key innovations and new products, the event will offer a wide range of initiatives and agenda-setting conferences designed to inspire new connections, collaboration and innovations across the market. A year-round programme of digital and face-to-face activities will support the event in its mission to catalyse and connect the community.

The partnership with MIND Exhibitions to bring Connect in Pharma to market builds on Easyfairs’ existing and fast-growing network of events in the international packaging market. The group already organises packaging events in 12 cities across 10 countries, covering every aspect of the packaging supply chain, from design and development through to manufacturing and logistics.

Many of these events already attract an audience in the pharmaceutical market – notably the world-leading ADF&PCD and PLD Paris show, which has more than trebled in size since its acquisition by Easyfairs in 2016. Easyfairs also organises Maghreb Pharma, North Africa’s leading exhibition for the pharmaceutical industry. The Algiers-based event connects the pharmaceutical production technology and formulation supply chain across the region and, as of this year, also hosts new zones dedicated to packaging and cosmetics.
As a result, Connect in Pharma will benefit from the group’s expertise and existing relationships in the packaging market; as well as its market-leading suite of tools and systems to optimise the quantity and quality of connections and knowledge that the event offers to both buyers and suppliers in the community. The event’s co-founder, Jérôme Letu-Montois, and members of the MIND Exhibitions team will remain involved in the organisation of the event alongside a dedicated Easyfairs team, ensuring continuity and driving the event’s success.

Renan Joel, Divisional Director for Easyfairs’ packaging portfolio, says: Connect in Pharma is a very exciting launch event in a vital, vibrant and innovative international market. I can’t wait to start working with both the MIND Exhibitions team and the wider community to build a really fantastic event that will help drive innovation in the pharmaceutical sector.

Jérôme Letu-Montois, Co-Founder of Connect in Pharma, says: We are very pleased to be working with Easyfairs to build this event and to create a new hub for this community. Plugging the event into Easyfairs’ existing network and structures will enable Connect in Pharma to make its mark more quickly and will also provide our exhibitors and visitors with additional services and technological tools for a better experience. Our team is very excited to start working with our new colleagues and the industry to make that happen.
