Philippe Willegems was appointed Managing Director of easyFairs Belgium in March 2010. He joined the easyFairs Group when it acquired Thorex in the spring of 2002, and previously served as Exhibitions Manager for the entire group and as manager of the industrial shows portfolio in Belgium.

His responsibilities include managing the current large portfolio of shows in Belgium while researching new opportunities. In this role he works closely with leading Belgian and European trade federations, partners and exhibition venues as well as the broad community of easyFairs exhibitors and visitors.

He first joined Thorex in 1995. Willegems is engaged in research and development for future easyFairs events, including maintenance and analysis of the group’s data resources.

He holds a Licentiate degree in Applied Economic Sciences from the University of Antwerp.
