Peter A. Cologna was appointed Managing Director, easyFairs Switzerland, in 2012.

Before joining easyFairs, Cologna was Managing Director at the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, based in Basel, Switzerland and Munich, Germany. In this role, Cologna ran the Society’s annual event and drove recruitment initiatives that resulted in a 15 percent annual increase in membership. He was responsible for all operations, finance and corporate governance of this very active association in the medical sector.

From August 2006 to September 2008 Cologna was Vice President, Education and Events, for Institut Straumann, a global leader in implant, restorative and regenerative dentistry. Cologna had previously worked in Switzerland and the United States, for Synthes, where he developed a strong marketing and customer orientation.

Cologna holds an MBA in Business Administration & Economics from the University of Basel.
