Flanders Logistics: samen sterk

In deze presentatie wordt het Flanders Logistics-initiatief uit de doeken gedaan. Deze presentatie geeft een overzicht van de samenwerkingsstructuur tussen alle belanghebbenden (private sector, overheid en academische wereld) en geeft een korte toelichting bij de lopende initiatieven.

Pilootproject: stille leveringen tijdens de dagrand

Dit pilootproject past binnen het Flanders Logistics-initiatief. Vanaf dit najaar lopen in acht steden samen met twee supermarktketens proefprojecten rond stille belevering aan supermarkten tijdens de dagrand. De distributeurs hebben daarvoor geïnvesteerd in stille technologie. De mogelijkheden van stille technologieën bij laad- en losoperaties in stedelijke centra in Vlaanderen werden eerst theoretisch onderzocht en worden nu in de praktijk getest.

Supply Chain Risk Management

Controlling the risk of supply chain failure is one of the main concerns for every supply chain manager. As service reliability has become one of the major differentiators for every supply chain service provider, knowing, understanding and mitigating risks has become an important challenge. Therefore, several models have been developed to classify and to quantify different types of risk both from a strategic and from an operational point of view.

In this presentation, Prof. Vanmaele will explain a supply chain risk management model that has been developed by MÖBIUS and the Vlerick School for Management. He will also demonstrate a simulation tool that facilitates the visualization of the risks involved.

Deze case geeft een uitstekend beeld van het Partnership tussen Atlas Copco Airpower NV en Katoen Natie NV in het kader van het management en de behandeling van de inkomende goederenstroom tussen de wereldwijde leveranciers en de productie van Atlas Copco in Wilrijk. Deze case geeft een overzicht van de verticale integratie tussen beide bedrijven met een focus op de logistieke dienstverlening met bijzondere toegevoegde waarde.

Brucargo Secured Gateway

In het ‘Master Plan for Sustainable Development’ erkent The Brussels Airport Company (BAC) het katalyserend effect van logistieke luchtvrachtactiviteiten, alsook het toenemend belang van security in de luchtvrachtketen. Zo plant T.B.A.C. op korte termijn Brucargo beter te beveiligen en meer waarde te creëren in de luchtvrachtketen.
Onder leiding van het Vlaams Instituut voor Logistiek (VIL) werd een collectief onderzoeksproject gestart waarbij 11 bedrijven zelf op innovatieve wijze mee invulling geven aan de doelstellingen in het masterplan. Dit laat toe om zowel de zone als de individuele bedrijven te positioneren als beveiligd en efficiënt.  De Belgische douane verleende zijn steun en actieve medewerking aan dit project. Dit biedt heel wat perspectieven naar verdere facilitatie en het officialiseren ervan. De strategische positionering van dit project vindt bovendien plaats binnen SCALE, het comité waarin alle belanghebbende partijen op Brucargo vertegenwoordigd zijn.
