Jay Park is a registered professional electrical engineer and has 26 years of experience in various high tech industries including datacenter design and construction, semiconductor fabs, geothermal power plants, offshore oil drilling platforms, and utility substations.   He joined Facebook in 2009 as the director of datacenter design engineering and construction.  Since joining Facebook, Jay has filed four patents related to datacenter design.  He applied his patent pending design, 48VDC DC UPS system integrated with 277VAC server power supply, and launched an innovative high energy efficient, cost effective, and high reliability datacenter in Prineville, Oregon.  He also launched a “generator-less” datacenter design in Lulea, Sweden.  In 2011 his datacenter design received “Best Green Building” Award from ENR, Engineering News Record.
