Product innovations

Verbaten - UNICA MD Weighing and dosing system

Verbaten Stortgoedtechniek presents from the new agency Lawer S.p.A a fully automatic weighing / dosing unit for the food industry. The compact unit can assemble 10g to 2500g powder batches from 11 components with an accuracy of 3 grams and with a production capacity of 8-15 batches / hour. This is just one of the patented units from the comprehensive delivery program aimed at batch weighting and dosing of microcomponents for food / plastics and related industries.

ARCO - Automatic palletizer - Complete concept for handling up to 2000 kilos

ARCO developed a new complete concept for automatic handling of pallets, crates and boxes weighing up to 2000 kilos. Within the new complete concept, both robotization, automation and mechanization are integrated into one optimal operating system, saving labor, time and cost.

The new logistics concept can include turntables, pallet lifts, stackers and unloaders to handle products fully automated. To complete distances up to five kilometers or even more automatically, rollers, traverse cars or shuttles can be used with automatic scanners. Automatic roads can be transported according to the principle of "On-the-Fly" with a weighing accuracy of 1% or during stops with an accuracy of 0.1%.

ARCO makes it possible to automatically encode or label units. Thus, FTEs are saved and the management provided detailed information about the supply chain. Different scanning systems can be linked to information systems such as WMS and WCS. At the end of the internal process, pallets, crates or boxes can be automatically sorted and stored in a collection station or at the final destination.

Optyl BVBA - Cairpol for perimeter monitoring and follow-up of dust emissions

The Cairpol stations of the French fabric Environment SA is an instrument used as perimeter monitoring, but also for the follow-up of dust emissions from processinstallations. The stations can be connected to weather stations via a wireless network so that dust emissions can be monitored 24/7 in relation to weather conditions.

The measurement data is displayed on a PC or tablet and can be visualized through various options. The cairpol stations measure both total and PM10 and PM2.5 values. They can also be equipped with various gas sensors. Recalibration of the gas sensors is not necessary because they are replaced annually by pre-calibrated sensors. The cairpol installations can be connected to mains power, batteries or solar panels.

VEGA Meet-En Regeltechniek B.V. - VEGAPULS 69

Radar level measurements at very high frequency for measuring solids up to a distance of 120 meters

The VEGAPULS 69 is a sensor for continuous level measurement of bulk goods under different process conditions. It is ideal for level measurements in high silos, large bunkers and segmented silos and can be used by the plastic encapsulated antenna or the lens antenna integrated into the metal flange for different applications.

The level sensor operates at a high transmission rate (79 GHz) that can be adjusted sharply. A good focus reduces the influence of interference signals on the measurement of the product. The radius of the Vegapuls 69 has an opening angle of only 4 °, opposite a 10 ° opening angle of a 26 GHz level sensor radar beam. For a 26 GHz radar beam, except for the product, built-in elements, shoots and deposits are also measured.

The Vegapuls 69 can measure very small reflections. The sensor can therefore be used for the measurement of bulk material with poor reflective properties, such as plastic powder, fly ash or dry sawdust. Even the measurement of polystyrene grains or aerosil is possible. The measuring range of the Vegapuls 69 is approximately 120 meters. The accuracy of the level measurement is approximately +/- 5 mm. To simplify commissioning, an app has been developed for the smartphone. This allows the sensor to be aligned quickly and easily with a swivel support.
