INDUSTRY FEEDBACK ABOUT MAINTEC
MAINTEC continues to be a key date in companies’ calendar to meet buyers and influencers, deliver real results, and boost their business.
Wendy Knapman, Marketing Manager, explains why her firm has decided to exhibit at MAINTEC 2013:
“The UK market is very important to us and being able to demonstrate our equipment and meet customers face to face at one event is ideal. As there is no other UK show that addresses the hazardous arena and after speaking with the organizers of MAINTEC, we decided to get involved and booked a stand within the HAZEX arena.
While Newson Gale is a highly successful exporter, a good percentage of its business is still in the UK, where it supplies companies in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, paints, coatings and food and beverage sectors. Wendy Knapman again: “With such a diversity of markets to target, having one single event that will reach them all is a great plus.”
Hear what MAINTEC 2012 exhibitors have to say:
“The show immediately paid off for us. Within a month we had two orders totalling £30,000 so we didn’t hesitate to rebook, taking a slightly bigger stand.
There were probably four or five people who we met at the show, who we would never in a million years be able to access by any other means. For instance we had the chief engineer from one of the UK’s biggest retailers come past our stand, I’d been trying to get hold of him for over 9 months!
Major companies like Walkers Crisps, Morrisons & Greggs - people we normally just can’t get to - all came past our stand. It was brilliant.”
Simon Turner, Managing Director, Cobalt Conveyors
“We’ve been exhibiting at MAINTEC for a number of years now, but this year seemed one of the best yet. We launched three new thermal cameras at the show, as well as discussing our latest software and other offerings. We were delighted by the response that we got from visitors to our stand, and have picked up a number of high quality leads. Once again MAINTEC proved the perfect platform to showcase and launch our latest products.”
Andy Baker, UK and Ireland Sales Manager, FLIR Systems Ltd
“Once again MAINTEC proved a great success, getting us in front of key decision-makers serious about doing business. We met a great selection of potential new customers, and we’re confident that these leads will turn into business wins. We see MAINTEC as not only a key marketing tool, but more importantly a key sales driver.”
James Miller, General Manager, Dustcontrol UK Ltd
“MAINTEC offered us a great networking opportunity and we feel is always worth getting involved in. The fact that we’ve already booked again for next year should sum it up!”
Chris Hansford, Managing Director, Hansford Sensors
“This is the second year that HVPD has exhibited at MAINTEC. This year’s show saw a remarked increase in the number of visitors to our stand. Our team met with a number of high quality contacts including lead electrical engineers and decision-makers interested in partial discharge testing as part of their condition monitoring programmes.”
Dr Lee Renforth, Managing Director, High Voltage Partial Discharge Ltd
“MAINTEC is a great show for us. There is a good quantity of customers but more importantly the quality is there. We look forward to the show again next year.”
Diane Kolomeicuc, Sales Manager, LOBO Systems Ltd
“It was good to see an increased level of interest at the ERIKS stand from visitors looking to embrace some of the newer technologies including condition monitoring via the cloud and industrial hose inspection services that can in many cases reduce insurance risk. Following the conversations on our stand we believe that the maintenance profession of today is more keen than ever to work smart to achieve their objectives, something which are delighted to be able to help them with.”
Richard Ludlam, Marketing Manager, ERIKS UK
“MAINTEC 2012 has been another successful showcase for Schaeffler's condition monitoring products and services. This is the fifth consecutive year that Schaeffler has exhibited at MAINTEC. We were able to make new contacts on our stand and at our two learnShops, giving us the opportunity to demonstrate our new SmartCheck online CM device and our new range of induction heaters, and to discuss particular plant maintenance requirements in person. The quality of visitor was again very high and easyFairs' proactive approach to the marketing of the show has certainly contributed positively to this.”
Karen Preston, Marketing Services Manager, Schaeffler (UK) Ltd
“This was Bel-Ray’s second consecutive involvement with MAINTEC and I would have to say this was the best year yet. We were very pleased with the amount of high quality leads and companies that want to be involved with Bel-Ray. Our presentation received many positive comments on a daily basis, and we were busy each day of the show. All of the visitors we spoke to were pleased and excited about our re-engineered industrial products and our comprehensive new labelling system.”
David Purvis, International Sales Manager – Industrial Division, Bel-Ray
“MAINTEC was a great success for us yet again. As we have specialised in recruiting for the maintenance sector for many years it gives us a great opportunity to meet up with our existing clients and put faces to names of candidates that we’ve been in contact with over the years. We will without hesitation be back for next year’s event.”
Ashley Thomas, Probe Technical Recruitment
“This is the first time Gemini Data Loggers has exhibited at MAINTEC, promoting our range of Tinytag data loggers that are used widely for monitoring temperature, humidity and other parameters across maintenance, engineering and manufacturing applications. We were impressed with the scope and focus of the exhibition and those who visited. In particular we showcased our Energy Logger, which was of considerable interest for maintenance professionals concerned with monitoring and reducing their energy consumption.”
Cathy Clark, Marketing Communications, Gemini Data Loggers (UK) Ltd
“For the second year running, Q8Oils attracted hundreds of visitors to the stand with its innovative design and concept. MAINTEC is always a key event in the Q8Oils' calendar as the visitors to the exhibition are customers and potential customers who would benefit from the Q8Oils product range and industrial services.”
Louise Brunyee, Marketing Manager, Q8Oils
“Having tried to deal with a particular company for 10 years, they visited our stand and we have secured business together.” Mike Abbott, Sales Manager, Prevost
“This is only the first exhibition we have done as a company. The intention was to increase company awareness, establish new contacts and receive new enquiries. All objectives have been achieved.” Alan Bolsover, Managing Director, DP Doors
“Great show at the right budget, plenty of footfall and picked up quality leads. Organisers easy to deal with and always contactable.” Tony Jauncey, Director, i360UK
“Another great year, providing a good number of high quality leads. Thanks again MAINTEC.” Grant Bailey, Sales & Marketing Director, Thermal Energy International
“Excellent communication, services and hospitality top notch, thank you!” Emily Campbell, Sales and Marketing, HVPD Ltd
“MAINTEC always does the job!” Ian Jones, Marketing Manager, Flowcrete
