The Agricultural and Livestock Sector: Engine of Growth in Colombia!

Colombia has great potential for agriculture and livestock. The main activities are focused on winner products such as cane, African oil palm, rice and cereals, beef and dairy cattle, pigs, flowers, bananas, coffee, fruits and vegetables.

In Colombia it is estimated that only 25% of total land is cultivated. There is great potential in areas such as cereals and sugarcane for energy production, and palm and forest for biodiesel production.
