Anatomy of an attack: How hackers threaten your security
- Reservation required

Sophos will be hosting a free seminar each day at Easy Fairs where top security guru Dr. James Lyne will talk about the lifecycle of attacks and give practical advice on threat protection strategies. The seminar will be split into three sessions: discussing how hackers threaten corporate networks, a live demonstration of a malware attack and practical steps that IT administrators can take to secure business networks.

"The highlight of the session will no doubt be the live malware attack in action - of course it will be self-contained so nothing to worry about there! Few people actually gain insight in to how attacks occur, stuck in the continual position of after-the-event remediation," said James.

This session is designed to show how chains of attacks link together both from the perspective of the hacker and the end user, showing in gory detail the true capabilities of modern malware.  This seminar is open to anyone who wants to educate themselves, and their users, on how to secure their business with limited budget and resource - a useful tool in today’s economic climate.

The seminar will include:

    * Live malware attack demonstration
    * Live hacking demonstration
    * Tips on protecting against the latest threats
    * The role of data encryption
    * Top 5 things you can do today to make your organization more secure
