The Full Package
Think of packaging, and what comes to mind? For too many people, the ‘packaging’ is a by-word for waste and environmental damage.
Yet packaging is at the heart of modern global society. It delivers fresh food and drink to our tables, protects every imaginable type of product in the journey from producer to consumer and communicates key information about the product. In addition, packaging is the medium for some of the most innovative and beautiful design in the modern world.
The Full Package is a new cross-industry educational campaign that aims to explain the positive benefits that packaging brings. Through engagement with schools, colleges and other influential bodies, The Full Package will help the public to understand what packaging does, how it works and why it matters.
By spreading a positive message about packaging, The Full Package will have the additional benefit of enthusing a new generation to take up a career in the packaging industry. Opportunities abound for a range of exciting career options, be it in manufacturing, design or any one of a range of other disciplines.
The campaign is supported by a range of organisations that are involved in the packaging business, including:
- BPIF Cartons
- easyFairs
- INCPEN
- Packaging News
- Packaging Today
- The British Contract Manufacturers and Packers Association
- The Independent Print Industries Association
- The Packaging Federation
- The Packaging Society
The Full Package will launch at easyFairs’ Packaging event on 16-17 February 2011.
