Cornelien Baijens is Managing Director of easyFairs Netherlands. From 2004 to 2010 Baijens was based in Antwerp as Managing Director of easyFairs Benelux, where she quadrupled the company’s revenues. She is now focused on building up a strong independent operation in her native country based at our offices in Oosterhout, near Breda.

Baijens joined easyFairs in March 2004, and was previously Managing Director of XM – Associated Exhibition Organisers BV, a network organisation for European and Asian exhibition organisers.

Between 2002 and 2004 she was also responsible for the ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems and Services) congresses and exhibitions in Lyon (European event) and Madrid (world congress).

While with Expoconsult (later Miller Freeman BV) between 1989 and 1994 Baijens was project manager for the CPhi (Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Intermediates), Eastchem (Chemicals in Eastern Europe) and TA&D (Textile Auxiliaries and Dyestuffs) exhibitions and for the Sponsorship Europe conference.

Altogether, Baijens brings more than 15 years’ experience in events planning and organisation. She has a degree in Contemporary History from the University of Utrecht (1988) and is a member of the Dutch Club of Exhibition Organisers.
