Anti-counterfeiting in the pharmaceutical industry -
latest packaging trends & technologies
Wednesday 29th February 2012
9.30am – 13.30pm (incl light buffet lunch)
Counterfeiting of products and packaging is a multi-£billion business which is
growing at an alarming rate. Everything from Auto Parts, Cigarettes and Wine,
through Dietary supplements and Veterinary Products to Pharmaceutical
and Over-the-Counter (OTC) drugs are affected. The latter results in many
thousands of unnecessary deaths every year, but what can we do about it?
Well, there are many ways to tackle this but a strategic approach, that includes
securing packaging, is required to stay ‘one step ahead’ of the counterfeiters.
Benefits for Delegates:
- Delivered by some of the leading thinkers & experts in the industry, working at the leading-edge of technology, this workshop will provide an unbiased & independent overview and help you see the ‘wood from the trees’.
- It will help you identify the issues, look at emerging packaging trends and
technologies, including all sorts of overt (visible) solutions such as holograms and covert (hidden) solutions including various printing, coating and forensic technologies and then help you develop a strategy that fits with the Brand Owners security tactics in order to move forwards. - The speakers will bring the topic to life with real-life, hands-on examples and encourage you to bring YOUR OWN PACKS along for a FREE COUNTERFEIT-AUDIT which can be conducted separately in a confidential
environment if necessary. - There will be table-top demonstrations from a selection of hand-picked
sponsors with whom you can chat over a buffet lunch.
