Hazardous solutions in the spotlight at MAINTEC

HAZEX was launched at MAINTEC in 2012 to reflect the increasing responsibilities of engineering professionals and the growing concerns and tighter legislation over the health and safety of industrial, commercial and government sites and facilities.
Growing on the success of 2012, in 2013 this focused event will provide companies supplying products or services to engineers working within and responsible for hazardous area engineering and handling access to our vital audience of buyers.

Why visitors attend HAZEX

HAZEX offers visitors the opportunity to discover the latest products, legislation, case studies and latest techniques applicable to engineers working within hazardous environments.
Accompanying the exhibition is a comprehensive seminar programme covering a variety of topics relating to working within hazardous areas.

ATEX

One of the new minefields for engineering and operations professionals is the mandatory European Community directive ATEX 94/9/EC. ATEX stands for atmosphere explosive and it is the law in the EU.
If you offer ATEX-approved products and services, HAZEX provides you with a forum to promote your solutions to interested buyers.

Newson Gale will be exhibiting at the show for the first time within the HAZEX arena, the specialist hazardous area event being run as part of easyFairs MAINTEC 2013.

For over 30 years Newson Gale has been leading the way in hazardous area static grounding control, serving industries where processes generating static electricity have the potential to ignite flammable or combustible atmospheres.

Wendy Knapman, Marketing Manager, explains why her firm has decided to exhibit at MAINTEC 2013:

“The UK market is very important to us and being able to demonstrate our equipment and meet customers face to face at one event is ideal.  As there is no other UK show that addresses the hazardous arena and after speaking with the organizers of MAINTEC,  we decided to get involved and booked a stand within the HAZEX arena.

While Newson Gale is a highly successful exporter, a good percentage of its business is still in the UK, where it supplies companies in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, paints, coatings and food and beverage sectors. Wendy Knapman again:  “With such a diversity of markets to target, having one single event that will reach them all is a great plus.”

It is important that the entire industry is made aware of activities relating to third parties contacting exhibitors for entries into show guides.  An example of one such guide is Fairguide. To find out more please follow this link.
