Your way to the fair
By plane
If you are flying, your destination is the Rhine-Ruhr airport Düsseldorf International. Every day, it counts over 500 take-offs and landings and offers flight connections to over 170 cities in Germany and abroad. You will find the information counter of Messe Essen at the center of the Arrivals level in Terminal B.
The Airport Shuttle Bus will take you directly from Düsseldorf International Airport to the fair grounds in Essen and back again. The buses set off from the Arrivals level, in front of the Terminal, at exit C of the airport. The buses in Essen set off at the same time. The shuttle buses run every 30 minutes from 7.45 to 18.45 on all days of the fair and without any stops in-between. The travelling time is 20 minutes in each direction. The bus stops in Essen are set up and signposted at the fair building "Ost" and on Lührmannstraße.
The costs for the transfer from Düsseldorf International Airport to Messe Essen and back total 20 euros (no warranty).
