Håkan Gershagen was a founding partner of the easyFairs Group. Since 30 June 2004 he has served as the company’s Business Development Director, Chairman of easyFairs Scandinavia, and a Advisory Board member.

He is also Chairman of Management Events, Helsinki; Director Sales & Marketing Europe for SEMEC, which manages the Palais des Festivals in Cannes; and Chairman and content organiser for the exhibition industry’s annual UFI Summer Seminars.

Active in the exhibitions industry since the early seventies, Gershagen was a highly successful Business Development Director for Reed Exhibitions in Europe from 1990 to 1996, when he founded the Scandinavian B2B trade show company ExpoNova, which he managed until 2003. At its peak ExpoNova employed a staff of 50 and had an annual turnover of € 7.5 million. When the company was acquired by MediaLive Intl. (USA), Gershagen became Managing Director, Europe.

In 2004 he left to join the board of Mack Brooks Exhibitions and to pursue his career as a senior consultant to the European exhibition industry. He is also in high demand as a speaker and chairman at various exhibition industry conferences and seminars.

Gershagen has an MBA in Economics and Business Administration at the Gothenburg University of Economics.
