Factory Welded Standard Silos

Standard silos. Standardised, but flexible nonetheless.

In almost all areas of manufacturing, factory-welded standard silos are used. We offer these silos with diameters of 2,400 mm to 4,200 mm and volumes from 10 m³ to 260 m³. However, larger diameters with a greater volume are also possible. Components such as filters, overflow protection, inspection facilities and discharge equipment also form part of our range. We would be pleased to also quote for appropriate mechanical or pneumatic conveyor systems for filling and discharge of the silos.

Segemented Standard Silos For Export

Keenly priced. Compact know-how.

Concentrated silo competence in a small space. You can save a large amount of freight costs with silos segmented for export. Each of our silo units consists of a few crane packages. These contain the complete silo, all accessories, such as railing, ladder, capping pipe, filling pipe and dedusting filter as well as connectors and seals, for installation. The individual silo segments are stacked inside each other to save space and, on request, packed in seaworthy crates or vacuum film for safe transport. At the destination, the individual segments can be bolted together without problem. The silos come in diameters from 2,400 mm – 3,500 mm with volumes of 19 m³ - 180 m³. All components such as filters, overflow protection, inspection facilities and discharge equipment also form part of the supply. We would be pleased to also quote for appropriate mechanical or pneumatic conveyor systems for filling and discharge of the silos.

Bolted silos

Cost-effective. And quickly installed.

Bolted silos are mainly used to store large quantities of various bulk materials, in particular gravel, hardcore, chippings and non-metallic minerals. The silos are manufactured with standard diameters of 4,647 mm – 12,000 mm. Cone inclinations of 45°, 55° and 60° are available. The bolted silos can either be open at the top or have a flat or conical roof. The individual silo segments are prefabricated in our factory and bolted together on site quickly and easily by our expert staff. As the silos are divided into easily transportable segments, every site, even in distant areas, can be reached easily by lorry or ship.

Our range also covers silo equipment, such as filters, overflow protection, inspection facilities and discharge equipment. We would also be pleased to take care of the conveyor systems required for filling and discharge of the silos.

Coal Dust Silos

Clean solutions. Completely safe.

With their safety concept, the KURZ pressure-shock resistant coal dust silos meet all requirements and ensure smooth operation. We will accompany you reliably and competently from the initial works test via the prescribed installation and test procedures to staff training and first filling. Obviously, we can also take on maintenance and the prescribed regular inspections of operating plants.

Standard sizes: 115 m³, 250 m³. Other sizes on request.

The KURZ safety concept includes, for example, the following:

For large installations, inerting with the inert gas carbon dioxide CO2 or nitrogen N2 is necessary. This is controlled on the one hand via monitoring of carbon monoxide and on the other hand via temperature monitoring. Sets of inert gas cylinders lead to a main line which controls filters, filling line and fluidising.

On-Site Welded Wilos

Large projects. Highly individual.

Where size matters, we frequently use site-welded silos. In this way, the volume can be maximised and, at the same time, transport and handling costs minimised. The individual parts which are prefabricated to your specification are delivered in sizes appropriate for transport and installation and are installed and welded on site. Major components are pre-installed by us in our factory as a check. The silos are individually planned, undergo structural calculations, designed and built. Thus, we can meet even the most exceptional requirements.
