Press releases

  • Partnership with Polish Company Strengthens Invopak’s Bucket and Tub Product Range

Invopak is delighted to announce its latest Distribution Agreement – a partnership with Warsaw based Plast Service Pack (PSP) estimated to be worth over €1.5 million a year. PSP was founded in 1992 by current owner Konrad Rumiński and currently employs 250 people, producing more than 17.5 million units a year.

The family-owned company has built a reputation for delivering a wide range of bespoke IML products to tight deadlines at extremely competitive prices. PSP’s products are predominantly used for packaging foods and chemical products and ensure product security with a protective collar lid fit system.

Invopak Sales Director, Scott Sandilands, says “PSP’s ability to offer short print runs makes it perfect for our customers looking for smaller quantities. Invopak will be stocking rectangular, square and round buckets with a variety of lid options compatible with tinting machines, automated filling lines or for manual fitting.”

Invopak is PSP’s sole UK distributor and the current contract will equate to approximately 5% of PSP’s total monthly sales. PSP believes its partnership with Invopak will lead to significant growth in the UK market.

Commercial Director, Kasia Ruminska, says, “PSP is really excited to be chosen as an Invopak supplier – the partnership opens up a significant opportunity for PSP to increase its presence in the UK and we have developed some new product specifically for the UK market.”

Testimony to PSP’s commitment to the UK is the fact that it is currently working towards HACCP accreditation specifically designed to instil confidence with UK customers.

Scott Sandilands continues, “Invopak is constantly striving to ensure we offer the largest choice of products to our clients. The introduction of PSP buckets and tubs will strengthen Invopak’s offering and complements our existing range of plastic and polypropylene packaging.”

The new PSP product range, complete with specification sheets, can be viewed and downloaded by visiting www.invopak.co.uk. For further information on Invopak’s buckets and tubs range please contact the sales office on 0161 366 4451 or enquire online at www.invopak.co.uk

  • Check out Invopak’s new 100% oxy-biodegradable range from Cheko!

As the largest packaging supplier in the UK, Invopak recognises the industry’s need to take environmental issues into consideration when sourcing new suppliers. It has recently announced a distribution agreement with Polish company, Cheko, to stock its oxy-biodegradable square and rectangle plastic buckets.

Established in 1988, Cheko claims to be the first manufacturer to produce oxy-biodegradable plastic containers that are 100% eco-friendly. Thanks to the special addition of the modifying agent d2w® to polypropylene, Cheko’s containers decompose into water, carbon dioxide, biomass and trace elements in just a few years, instead of clogging up landfill sites for years on end.

Cheko’s products are all made from food grade polypropylene and contents are protected through a collar system which incorporates a tamper evident feature for added security.

Invopak’s Sales Director, Scott Sandilands, says, “Environmental considerations are a key issue in our industry. The sheer volume of packaging that is used in the UK means efficient disposal and recycling is vital. Cheko’s products offer our customers a cost effective, viable alternative to ‘environmentally friendly’ plastic products currently available.”

Invopak will be stocking a comprehensive range of Cheko’s containers ranging in size from 1 - 11 Ltrs. Products can be digitally printed or in-mould labelling (IML) can be applied – even to short runs. Cheko’s 20 production lines at its factory in Wloclawek, to the west of Warsaw, also offer both paper and plastic labelling facilities – meaning Invopak’s customer’s have a variety of labelling methods at their disposal.

For further information on Invopak’s range of plastic containers please contact the sales office on 0161 366 4451 or enquire online at www.invopak.co.uk

  • Invopak unveils brand new service at Packaging Innovations

Invopak, the UK’s largest supplier of rigid packaging containers, will be unveiling a brand new service offering from one of its suppliers, Emballator Packaging UK, at Packaging Innovations 2013 taking place at the NEC in February (27th-28th).

Emballator Packaging UK manufactures a range of tinplate lever lid tins at its production plant in Bradford which are used for storing and transporting paints, solvents and chemicals. A significant investment in new printing technology means Emballator is now able to offer SME customers high-quality labelling and printing options on a par with those used by multi-national operations.

Invopak is the only major UK distributor able to offer this service to its customers, as Sales Director, Scott Sandilands, explains, “We are delighted to be able to provide this bespoke service from Emballator to our customers. Until now smaller producers haven’t been able to use more complicated designs that are seen on tins sold by the bigger brands. The introduction of this new service has enormous potential for our clients that use lever lid tins.”

Emballator Packaging UK was established in Bradford in 1999 by Swedish parent company, Emballator Metal Group. Managing Director of the UK operation, Gerard Dibb, says, “Innovation is at the heart of our company’s ethos – we are constantly striving to offer our customers a superior service tailored around the needs of their business. Prohibitive print costs for below minimum and very low print quantities have meant that historically smaller manufacturers couldn’t benefit from the same quality of printing as larger companies. The introduction of our latest equipment means we can now offer digital printing on runs from as little as 100 tin sheets.”

Invopak was established in 1984 and is now the largest packaging supplier in the UK, offering a vast product range including plastic, tinplate, aluminium, steel and PET containers, UN cartons and closures and accessories. It has exhibited at easyFairs® for many years and values the opportunity the shows provide for meeting existing and potential customers face to face.

Invopak’s Chief Executive, Arjen Cooper-Rolfe, says, “Invopak is continually looking at ways we can improve our customers’ experience – by meeting them in person at shows like Packaging Innovations, we can speak to them directly about the issues they’re facing and adapt our business accordingly.”

Invopak sourced a number of new suppliers in 2012, both from the UK and Europe, and will be using Packaging Innovations 2013 to introduce customers to a range of new product lines from suppliers including Polish companies Cheko and PSP as well as Belgian PET manufacturer, Innocan.

Invopak’s extensive product range is supported by an innovative company ethos that puts customer service at its core. Testimony to this is the recent launch of a dedicated customer log-in portal on the website where customers can place orders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The family-owned company services the whole of the UK and Ireland from its four distribution centres and its commitment to customer service continually drives improvement and ensures customers receive a quality service, as well as the best products, every time.
