The single-stage, oil-free screw compressors in the Delta Screw Generation 5 plus series are universal tools. They bundle all the know-how of a world market leader in compressor technology to offer you ‘the user’ maximum efficiency. The unique combined experience from the worlds of rotary lobe blowers and screw compressors is the foundation upon which the new groundbreaking and futureoriented Delta Hybrid technology has been developed - the first series of Rotary Lobe Compressors!
The new and successful AERZEN Rotary Lobe Compressor packages have been designed for oil free compression of air and neutral gases. The Delta Hybrid is currently available for positive pressure and vacuum applications in the range of nominal nozzle sizes DN 100 to DN 300 (4 in. to 12 in.). A flexible modular concept enables the combination of multiple machine and motor sizes within a nominal package size. When equipped with the most suitable belt drive, the current performance requirement can be met most closely while enabling possible later easy adjustments.
The new and successful Delta Hybrid series covers a flow range of 110 m³/h to 9.000 m³/h (65 to 5300 cfm) with 16 machine sizes and for positive pressures (depending on the size) up to 1500 mbar g. (22 psig) and vacuum to -700 mbar (-21"Hg). Beside the former sizes S and L as well as H for higher pressures, the varied rotary lobe compressor kit is now also available as E option for special negative pressure applications.
Oil is not always ”Oil“! With decades of experience we know that 72% of all bearing problems are directly related to improper lubrication either due to contaminated oil, rapid ageing, or unsuitable quality for use in high speed machines.
Be pro-active, ensure you use a lubricant that is designed for the high mechanical loading, varying pressure, high temperatures, and exposure to oxygen and moisture in your machine. A reduction in lubrication film will be prevented if the correct lubricant is used and so prevent premature failure of the blower.

Delta Real Time Monitoring

If the vibrations of a twin-shaft machine exceed the stipulated limit values, this possibly points to a technical problem as early indicators, a possible necessary repair or an overhauling. Consequently maintenance work can be planned ahead, unexpected failures, serious damages and high failure costs mostly prevented. Therefore Aerzener Maschinenfabrik now offers the permanent machine-monitoring “Delta Real Time Monitoring” after extensive field tests for the whole previous and the current program. This real time-system can be integrated but also retrofitted immediately. The manufacturer fulfills especially the request of unit operators in high quality procedures such as e.g. the process gas-technology. For this new development AERZEN even has developed with VDI new technical standards as the previous stipulations could not be used any longer.
Delta Real Time Monitoring“ monitors the vibrations, pressure and temperature of the machine via sensors and can also integrate the AERZEN AERtronic-control. All measuring values of up to eight diagnosis units are combined in real time in one own switch cabinet and immediately transmitted by internet, ethernet or GSM-modem to a special server in the Aerzener Maschinen-fabrik where they can be retrieved at any time. Upon request a visualization is shown on the operator’s control room.
The AERZEN service department checks the condition of the machine at least once a week and issues a report on the condition of the machine monthly, quarterly-, half- or yearly acc. to contract and makes proposals for a further safe and smooth operation. Upon exceeding the limit values the Aerzener Maschinenfabrik (if necessary also additional pre-determined persons at the operator) will be informed automatically by SMS or e-mail so that further measures such as e.g. shutdown, limited operation of the unit or employment of an Aerzen technician can be fixed. For the installed hardware and the monitoring service the operator pays a monthly fee for three years, afterwards only the reduced service fee. Outside the normal warranty by employment of AERZEN service personnel, the operator is charged with costs incurred by maintenance work and spare parts.
With the new service Delta Real Time Monitoring the customer can count on highest possible reliability and a long lifetime of AERZEN machines at favourable costs.
Automatic relubrication devices for AERZEN electric motors.
Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH has been offering for many years service contracts in various categories by means of which optimal maintenance of the packaged units is guaranteed. These contracts are handled up to 2 times a year by an AERZEN service technician, whereas this procedure is sufficient for a large number of packaged units. But packaged units with high annual operating times may require more service calls for the relubrication interval of the electric motors.
The industrial enterprises as well cut down on maintenance personnel so that the existing work has to be distributed among less and less employees. New maintenance concepts are required to manage the necessary work by the available personnel.
A motor bearing should be ideally lubricated during the operation to distribute the lubricants in the bearings as efficient as possible. However, this procedure is not possible with many packaged units for reasons of safety at work. The motors are necessarily lubricated during standstill. The problem is to press the relatively high quantity of lubricant into the bearings at a standstill within a very short time. In the worst case the bearings would be damaged and, as a consequence, the standstill of the bearings would be increased considerably.
Aerzener Maschinenfabrik has included automatic relubrication devices in the After Sales Service Programme offering a solution to the users of AERZEN packaged units. These systems are driven by electric motors; the dispensers are provided with the necessary power supply by an integrated removable battery which guarantees an operation period of at least 12 months. As a result, cost intensive retrofitting of the power supply and the activation of the packaged unit are not necessary. The dispenser quantity can be dosed very precisely and adjusted to the requirements of the electric motor because of the motor drive and the open programming up to 36 months service life /cartridge. This way, it can be ensured that the system is permanently available.
Cartridges for the dispensers are available in 3 different sizes with dispenser volumes of 60, 120 and 250 cm³ and various types of lubrication. The devices can be applied at temperatures from -10°C up to +60°C. In order to ensure easy assembly, the cartridges are supplied with connecting accessories and supporting bracket. Special markings early indicate the necessary change of battery or cartridge. The automatic lubrication systems are mainly characterised by more performance and more efficiency which lead to cost reduction in the long run. Further distinctions are the remarkably increased safety at work and the reduced risk of accidents.
