The easyFairs concept

For all involved: easyFairs trade shows are time and cost efficient.

You get everything you need at a fixed price. Upon arrival, everything you need is ready and waiting for you. Just turn up and do business! Regionally organised, easyFairs trade shows are sales events "in the heart of your market".  They help you make new business contacts and sell your products and solutions to your target group -- for only a fraction of the price of a 'normal' trade show. They're like a sales visit in reverse: the new customers come to you! easyFairs trade shows also have a minimum impact on the environment!

Designed specifically for busy trade professionals from small to medium-sized enterprises, easyFairs shows are focused, hype-free and therefore particularly attractive to exactly those buyers and decision makers you want to meet.

Why locate a MAINTENANCE show in Antwerp?

Located in the north of Belgium, Business Region Antwerp benefits from its strategic near neighbouring countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, France and the United Kingdom. More than half of the population of Europe, approximately 180 million people, live within a range of 500 kilometres (the so-called 'blue banana').

Antwerp (pop. 455,000 city/800,000 conurbation) is Belgium’s second largest city and capital of the self-named province. It is also Belgium's foremost industrial centre and features strongly developed service and logistic sectors.

For example:

In 2009 the Port of Antwerp processed a total maritime cargo turnover of 158 million tonnes, but by July 2010 the port had already seen 87 million tonnes, representing a 12.7% increase over the same period last year. About 140 European distribution centres are based there; some specialise in “postponed manufacturing” including assembly, customising, kitting, nationalisation, packing, strapping and testing. Overall, the logistics and transportation sector represents 18.5% of the country’s GDP (2008 figures).

(Petro)Chemical: Although Belgium represents only 2.7% of the total EU population and 3.2% of the European GDP, the Belgian chemical industry produces more than 8% of total European turnover in this sector, accounting for nearly 17% of European exports of chemical products. Half of the world's top 20 chemical companies – including BASF, Bayer, Borealis, BP, Evonik (Degussa), Lanxess, DuPont, Ineos, Kaneka, Monsanto, Nippon Shokubai and Total – have offices in Antwerp, the world's second largest cluster after Houston.

Other attractive sectors include: electrical/electronic equipment and energy (*8.9% of GDP), machinery & equipment (*7.6%), automotive & subcontracting (*5.7%), food & beverages (5.1%), metals (5.1%) and life sciences: biotech/pharmaceutical/medical equipment (3.2%). (*2008 figures)

Why visit? You can't really afford not to!
